Thrissur, formerly Trichur, also known by its historical name Thrissivaperur, is a city and the headquarters of the Thrissur district in Kerala, India. It is the third largest urban agglomeration in Kerala after Kochi and Kozhikode, and the 21st largest in India. The city is built around a 65-acre (26 ha) hillock called the Thekkinkaadu Maidaanam which seats a large Hindu Shiva Temple. It is located 304 kilometres (189 mi) north-west of the state's capital city, Thiruvananthapuram. Thrissur was once the capital of the Kingdom of Cochin, and was a point of contact for the Assyrians, Greeks, Persians, Arabs, Romans, Portuguese, Dutch and English.

Ollur is a major suburban area and an old commercial town in the city of Thrissur of Kerala state, South India. It is about five kilometres (3.1 mi) away from Swaraj Round on old National Highway 47 (India) towards Kochi. From ancient time onwards, Ollur was a major business centre in Thrissur district. Now, this geographical area is part of Thrissur Municipal Corporation. It is situated between Kuriachira and Thalore on the National Highway. However, a specific identity for this geographical region is still there due to the urban setting of this region and its important religious institutions.

Mullassery is an agricultural village however, today majority of youth of this village are UAE expatriates. Nelluvai is a small village in the Thrissur district, Kerala, India. It is located between the towns Thrissur and Guruvayur, Kunnamkulam, and is known for the temple of Lord Dhanvantari. It comes under Erumapetty Panchayath. It belongs to the central Kerala Division. It is located 21 km north from District headquarters Thrissur, 12 km from Wadakkanchery, and 303 km from the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. The St. Antony's Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church is located at Ollur, Thrissur city in Kerala, India. The church belongs to Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur. According to rough figures there are around 4,000 Christian families in the parish. Because of the huge presence of Christian people in Ollur, with its religious, educational, medical, social-service, and secular organisations and institution, Ollur has been called as Chinna Roma. The church is constructed on a hill-top which is the highest location in the area. The church is surrounded by a huge protective compound wall called Elephant Wall. When Thrissur Vicariate Apostolic was erected in 1887, Ollur was the richest, most populous, and influential parish, so much that the Vicar of the Ollur parish were included in Adolph Medlycott's four-member diocesan apex council. St. Anthony's Forane Church has 18 churches under its jurisdiction.

Thrissur City Police (TCP), a division of the Kerala Police, is the law enforcement agency for the City of Thrissur, Kunnamkulam and the temple town of Guruvayoor. West Mangad is a village in Porkulam Panchayath. It is in Thrissur district in the state of Kerala, India. It is 5 km west to Kunnamkulam town and 1.5 km south to Pazhanji. St. Joseph's and St. Cyrils Higher Secondary School is situated in this village. There are two temples and a Christian church seen in surrounding of the village, many small scale companies are active now. The village is famous for its religious harmony. There is another village in Thrissur district with the same name, so it is commonly known as Pazhanji Mangad. There are three local celebrations in the village they are Mangad Temple pooram, Kottiyattumukk temple pooram, and Mangad church perunal(September 14,15). It comes under Porkulam grama panchayath and Kunnamkulam legislative assembly.
