Pioneer Sector is part of the Jurong Industrial Estate which is the largest industrial estate in Singapore.

Pioneer Sector comprises Pioneer Sectors 1, 2, 3, Pioneer Sector Walk, Pioneer Sector Lane and Gul Road and is bounded by Pioneer Road on the North, Tuas Basin on the West, Selat Jurong on the South and Gul Basin on the East. It is located on reclaimed land.

Pioneer Sector is home to many marine and heavy industries such as Keppel Offshore and Marine, Asia-Beni Steel Industries Pte Ltd, YLS Steel Pte Ltd, Keppel Shipyard etc. Tuas Naval Base is also located at Pioneer Sector.

Tuas Naval Base

Tuas Naval Base (TNB) is the second naval base in the history of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). Located at the western tip of Singapore, it occupies 0.28 km² (0.11 sq mi) of land. It was officially opened on 2 September 1994 by Goh Chok Tong, the second prime minister of Singapore.

Joo Koon Bus Interchange

The Joo Koon Bus Interchange is a bus transport facility located in Joo Koon, Singapore. Along with Joo Koon MRT Station and FairPrice Hub, it is part of the Joo Koon Integrated Transport Hub (ITH). The facility is situated at the junction of Joo Koon Circle and Benoi Road, and located at the ground level of NTUC Fairprice's Fairprice Hub, next to Joo Koon MRT Station. It is air conditioned and features glass walls for people to view the bus bay. The walls of the concourse is orange with a fusion of white. With three sawtooth boarding berths and eighteen parking lots, it is among the smallest bus interchanges in Singapore.

The East West Line (EWL) is a high-capacity MRT line operated by SMRT. It is the second Mass Rapid Transit line built in Singapore. The line is 57.2 kilometres (35.5 mi) long with 35 stations, 8 of which are below ground, making it the longest line in Singapore. It runs from Pasir Ris, in the eastern region Singapore, to Tuas Link in the west. A separate spur line links Tanah Merah and Changi Airport via Expo. The line is coloured dark green on the rail map, and began operations on 12 December 1987. The line currently has the distinction of having the easternmost and westernmost MRT stations on Singapore's rail network.
