The Prairie Rose State Games was a multi-sport event for athletes from the U.S. State of North Dakota. It was part of the State Games of America. The first games were held in Bismarck, North Dakota in 1987, and the last games were held in July 2011. [1]

The Dakota Wizards were an American professional basketball team based in Bismarck, North Dakota. They played in the NBA Development League from 2006 until 2012. The Great West Conference (GWC) was an NCAA college athletic conference in the continental United States. Originally a football-only league, it became an all-sports entity during the 2008–09 season. The Bay State Games are an Olympic-style athletic event for amateur athletes in the state of Massachusetts, which includes several divisions and allows athletes of all ages to compete. The Games are divided into Summer and Winter Games. The Summer Games include 25 sports and are usually held in late July. The Winter Games include three different sports and are usually held in late January or early February. The Bay State Games is a member of the National Congress of State Games. Kevin Cummings currently serves as executive director.
The North Dakota Fencing Association was established in 2011 by a group of North Dakota fencing coaches who wanted to help fencing grow in North Dakota. North Dakota fencers had been meeting up once a year at the North Dakota Prairie Rose State Games held in July. However, 2011 was the last year, after 25 years, the state games were held.
The Australian Masters Games is a biennial sporting event and the largest multi-sport participation sporting event in Australia. Garry Daly as President of the Confederation of Australian Sport proposed the concept of Masters Games to the Northern Territory government. It went on to establish the Central Australian Masters Games in 1986. The first Australian Masters Games were held in Hobart, Tasmania in 1987. The Australian Masters Games event is owned by the Confederation of Australian Sport and state governments and cities bid to host the Games. The minimum age for most sports is 30 years of age however some of the sports, like Gymnastics, the minimum age for participation is 20 years of age.
The Saskatchewan Games is a multi-sport event held every two years, alternating between the Saskatchewan Winter Games and the Saskatchewan Summer Games. The 2018 games took place in North Battleford, between February 19 – February 24, 2018. The 2021 games will take place in Lloydminster from July 18 – July 24, 2021. The governing body for the Saskatchewan Games is the Saskatchewan Games Council, a non-profit organization who has held responsibility for organizing the games since 2006.
