The Women's European Baseball Championship (WEBC) is the main championship tournament between national women's baseball teams in Europe, governed by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB). [1]

History

The 2019 Women's European Baseball Championship was held in July and August 2019 in Rouen, France. France, the winner of the championship, qualified for 2020 Women's Baseball World Cup. [2]

The 2022 Women's European Baseball Championship was held on Wednesday, August 3 to Saturday, August 6 2022. [3] Montpellier in France hosted the second edition, which also served as qualifying event for the next WBC Women's Baseball World Cup. Four teams participated with host and defending champion France, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Great Britain. [4] France defeated the Czech Republic in the final (13-3) and qualified for the next Baseball World Cup which will be held in 2023.

The Baseball European Cup, formerly called the Confederation Cup and CEB Cup, is an annual baseball tournament, sanctioned and created by WBSC Europe. The tournament is the second-tier tournament for baseball leagues across Europe, alongside the first-tier European Champions Cup, third-tier Federation Cup, and fourth-tier Federation Cup Qualifiers, all of which operate with a promotion and relegation system for its federations.

Six national teams qualified to compete in baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. As host, Japan automatically qualified. Israel also qualified, by winning the Africa/Europe Qualifying Event in September 2019.

Six teams qualified for the Olympic softball tournament, including Japan, which, as host nation, qualified automatically. The United States team won the 2018 Women's Softball World Championship to qualify for the Olympics. The remaining four spots were allocated through three qualification tournaments: one spot for a Europe/Africa tournament, one spot for an Asia/Oceania tournament, and two spots for an Americas tournament.

The Super 6 Baseball and Softball is a tournament between national baseball teams in Europe, governed by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB), the European Softball Federation (ESF) and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). It was held for the first and only time from September 18 to 23, 2018 in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. It was organized by the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB), the City of Hoofddorp and the local baseball club Hoofddorp Pioniers. It was featured by the top 6 nations of the 2016 European Championship and ESF Women's Championship.

The 2021 Women's Baseball World Cup would have been the ninth edition of the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup, the biennial international women's baseball world championship tournament. The competition was planned to be held in Tijuana, Mexico in late 2021, with dates to be announced. The competition was originally to be held in Monterrey, Mexico from 11 to 20 September 2020, and was initially rescheduled to be held in Tijuana from 1 to 9 March 2021, but was postponed both times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was cancelled altogether in October 2021.

They are currently ranked 16th in the world. The team are current European champions, having successfully defended their title in 2022.

The 2021 European Champions Cup was the 58th iteration of the top European baseball club competition. It was held in Ostrava and Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic from 13 to 17 July 2021.
