The first case of the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic in the Indian state of Haryana was reported on 4 March 2020. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has confirmed a total of 339 cases and 100 active cases as of 30 April 2020 including 4 deaths and 225 recoveries. [1]
The COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‑19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‑CoV‑2). The outbreak was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. On April 28, the total number of confirmed cases across the country surpassed 1 million, and by April 29, according to Johns Hopkins University at a minimum, 58,356 people had died as a result of COVID-19, more than the Americans who had died during the Vietnam War. As of May 3, 2020, the U.S. has the most confirmed active cases and deaths in the world.

A 38-year-old who was confirmed positive for coronavirus, was also its first victim. He had travel history to Qatar. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has confirmed a total of 482 cases as of 2 May 2020 including 4 deaths and 117 recoveries. The virus has spread in 30 districts of the state, of which Munger has the highest number of cases.
