The incumbent mayor of Jackson, Mississippi is Democrat Chokwe Antar Lumumba, serving since 2017. He won his last election in 2021 with 69.1% of the vote. In November 2024, Lumumba was indicted on federal bribery charges. [2] He finished with a distant second place in the Democratic primary, losing to John Horhn.
