Jharkhand State Open University is a State university Headquarter located at Ranchi, Jharkhand, established by the State Government of Jharkhand under the Jharkhand State Open University Act, 2021 (Jharkhand Act, 12, 2021). [1] It was established to promote the Open University and distance education system in the educational pattern of the Jharkhand State and to provide educational opportunities to those who are unable to go in formal education and wish to upgrade their education or acquire knowledge and studies in various fields through the distance mode of education, such as the Print-medium (correspondence courses), contact programs, study centres, and mass media, and to provide access to Degree, Diploma, and Certificate program. Jharkhand State Open University has been offering numerous courses through the (Open and Distance Learning) form of education. All of these courses have significant in-house capabilities that students may take use of at any time. [5] [6]

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and founded in 1916. The university incorporated the Central Hindu College, which had been founded by future Indian Home Rule-league leader and theosophist, Annie Besant in 1898. It is also one of the 12 institutions from India in BRICS Universities League, a consortium of leading research universities from BRICS countries.

Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta is the Jharkhand state legislative assembly member from Hussainabad. In the 2014 general election, he was elected as MLA as Bahujan Samaj Party candidate. He joined All Jharkhand Students Union in November 2019, and is now District level chairman of All India Kushwaha Mahasabha, Hazaribagh from 15 December 2020.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Babu Bhoop Singh</span> Ruler of Kohra and Leader of the Indian rebellion of 1857

Babu Bhoop Singh was one of the most prominent leaders in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 from the Oudh region, which is now part of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He hailed from the Bandhalgoti clan of Rajputs and was the ruler of the Kohra (estate) in present-day Amethi district. He led a rebellion against the British forces in 1857. He took an active part in the Awadh War of 1857, playing a vital role in the siege of the Lucknow residency. To counter Colonel Wroughton's advances, he engaged in battles at Chanda, Amhat and Kadunala in the Sultanpur district. His property was taken under the management of Court of Wards. On order of Calcutta High Court, by government removed Court of Wards from Kohra. Later, the estate was ruled by Babu Shiv Dayal Singh.

Bhuneshwar Anuj was an Indian journalist, writer and scholar. He is known for his journalism and scholarly works in the Nagpuri language. He also has a prominent role in the separate state movement of Jharkhand. He was central adviser of Lok Seva Samiti.

Raman Gupta is an Indian actor, dancer and singer. He works in Nagpuri albums, Nagpuri films and Khortha film. He also acted in many hindi films. He is known for the Nagpuri film Sun Sajna, Deva Rikshawala and Gangwa. He was awarded best regional actor award in Jharkhand International Film Festival Awards in 2018 and Best Evergreen Actor in Jhollywood Award Show in 2022.

Bhavya Bishnoi is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly from the Adampur constituency in the November 2022 by-election. Om Prakash Lal, popularly known as O.P Lal, was an Indian politician who served as a Cabinet Minister, Minister of State (MoS) with Independent Charges and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Vidhan Sabha of Government of Bihar. He represented the Baghmara constituency of Jharkhand, then part of undivided Bihar, for three consecutive terms from 1985 to 2000. Lal made significant contributions to the fields of Excise & Probation, Mines & Geology, Tourism, and Information Technology during his political career.

Madhvi Madhukar Jha is a Sanskrit singer known for lending her mellifluous voice to verses of Adi Shankaracharya. Apart from Sanskrit, she also sings folk songs in different Indian languages such as Maithili and Hindi. She has a band named Madhuram Vrind. Govardhan Math Puri's Shankaracharya, Shri Nischalananda Saraswati, is her guru, from whom she has received diksha.
