Stock photography is the supply of photographs that are often licensed for specific uses. The stock photo industry, which began to gain hold in the 1920s, has established models including traditional macrostock photography, midstock photography, and microstock photography. Conventional stock agencies charge from several hundred to several thousand US dollars per image, while microstock photography may sell for around US$0.25 cents. Professional stock photographers traditionally place their images with one or more stock agencies on a contractual basis, while stock agencies may accept the high-quality photos of amateur photographers through online submission.

Digital Photography Review, also known as DPReview, is a website about digital cameras and digital photography, established in November 1998. The website provides comprehensive reviews of digital cameras, lenses and accessories, buying guides, user reviews, and forums for individual cameras, as well as general photography forums. The website also has a database with information about individual digital cameras, lenses, printers and imaging applications. Originally based in London, Digital Photography Review and most of its team relocated to Seattle, Washington, in 2010. It was owned by Amazon from 2007 to 2023.

The Robert Capa Gold Medal is an award for "best published photographic reporting from abroad requiring exceptional courage and enterprise". It is awarded annually by the Overseas Press Club of America (OPC). It was created in honor of the war photographer Robert Capa. 500px is a global online photo-sharing platform that is a subsidiary of Visual China Group. It is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was co-founded by Oleg Gutsol and Evgeny Tchebotarev on October 31, 2009.

Invision Agency is a celebrity entertainment photo agency formed in 2012 by The Associated Press and several photographers in the entertainment industry. It was conceived by Blake Sell, at the time the director of photo products at The Associated Press and shortly after being presented as a viable business model to AP's management committee, was approved by AP's board of directors, moving substantially AP's entertainment photo operations to the new company.

Affinity Photo is a raster graphics editor developed by Serif Ltd. for iPadOS, macOS, and Windows, alongside Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. Development of Affinity Photo started in 2009 as a raster graphics editor for macOS. Its first version reached general availability in 2015 with the Windows version launched a year later. Dora Goodman Cameras is an open source camera company in Budapest, Hungary founded by Dora Goodman. It uses 3D printing to produce open source 35mm, medium format and large format system cameras. The company sells its cameras through an online shop, as a DIY kit and fully assembled. It was created in 2016 to personalise and customise analogue cameras. It then began making cameras from wood before switching to 3D printing to meet demand.

PetaPixel is a website dedicated to digital photography and cameras, including blog posts, news, guides and reviews. Additionally, they have interviewed award-winning photographers such as Camille Lepage, with that work being referenced by broader media organizations. It was founded in May 2009.

Barbara Peacock is an American photographer, living in Portland, Maine. She has published the books Hometown (2016) and American Bedroom (2023).
