Madiz is a 57 metre twin screw steel yacht built on the River Clyde in Scotland, in 1902. In 2006, she broke a record in the shipping industry by being the only ship in the world to be in class "+100A1" with Lloyd's Register of Shipping, 100 years after the date of its building.
Madiz was designed by G. L. Watson, and It is the last surviving ship to have been designed by him personally.[1][2] She was built by the Ailsa Shipyard in Troon, Scotland on the Clyde.[2][3]
Madiz is a classic yacht and retains most of her original deck equipment and unique panelling,[4] the original Burma teak on much of the deck and all the deck’s side panelings.[5][6] Cuban mahogany in the original master bedrooms and solid oak paneling in the reception areas.[5][6]
Originally she was powered by two steam engines. These were later replaced by two MTU Mercedes Maybach diesel engines.[2]

The yacht was originally named Triton and her first owner was James Coats.[2] Following his death, she was purchased in 1913 by Sir George Bullough, owner of the Scottish island of Rùm. He renamed her Rhouma.[7] During World War I, Rhouma was hired for use as an auxiliary patrol yacht.[2] Between the wars, she was lengthened and had an upper deck of cabins added, and her engines were converted to run on oil fuel.[7]
in 1970 she was bought by Greek businessman Costas Keletseki, who renamed her Madiz and had her extensively rebuilt, restoring the original fittings but also modernizing with a conversion from steam to diesel engines.[8] . In 1989 Madiz was used as the primary setting for an episode of the British TV series Poirot.[9]
Between 2003-2006, Madiz underwent another major refit and was re-classed under Lloyd’s Register of Shipping in her original Class of +100A1.[10][11] After Keletsekis died in 2009, the ship was sold and was available for charter. [10] In March 2024 Madiz was placed up for sale again.[12]

RMS Atrato was a UK steamship that was built in 1888 as a Royal Mail Ship and ocean liner for the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company. In 1912 she was sold and became the cruise ship The Viking. Late in 1914 she was requisitioned and converted into the armed merchant cruiser HMS Viknor. She sank in 1915 with all hands, a total of 295 Royal Navy officers and men.
Nahlin is a luxury yacht that was built in Scotland in 1930. She was a turbine-powered steam yacht until 2005, when she was re-fitted with a diesel–electric powertrain. Her current owners are Sir James and Lady Dyson.
USS Kajeruna (SP-389) was a patrol vessel that served in the United States Navy from 1917 to 1919. The vessel had been built in 1902 as Hauoli for mining magnate Francis Marion "Borax" Smith but was replaced in 1903 by a second, larger vessel he named Hauoli. The first yacht was then named Seminole and for a time was returned to the builder, John N. Robins, and advertised for sale by the designer's firm. In 1911 Clinton W. Kinsella of New York purchased the yacht, apparently already renamed Kajeruna. After naval service the yacht was returned to the owner. On 31 March 1920 the ship was sold to British interests and renamed Tomas W. Beattie.
Amazon is a 102-foot (31 m) long screw schooner and former steam yacht built in 1885 at the private Arrow Yard of Tankerville Chamberlayne in Southampton.
The Shearwater is an 81.5-foot (24.8 m) wooden schooner docked in Lower Manhattan in New York City in the U.S. state of New York. The schooner was designed by Theodore Donald Wells and built by the Rice Brothers Corporation in East Boothbay, Maine in 1929. During World War II, it was requisitioned into the United States Coast Guard to patrol for German U-boats. The Shearwater completed a circumnavigation of the world in the early-1980s and later worked as a research laboratory for the University of Pennsylvania's Institute of Environmental Medicine. Docked about 200 yards (180 m) west of the site of the World Trade Center, it is operated by Manhattan by Sail, which gives 90-minute-long tours of New York Harbor, and is licensed to carry 48 passengers. The schooner was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
Motor Yacht A is a superyacht designed by Philippe Starck and engineered by naval architect Martin Francis. She was built by the Blohm + Voss shipyard at the HDW deepwater facility in Kiel. She was ordered in November 2004, and delivered in 2008 at a rumoured cost of US$300 million. With a length of 119 metres (390 ft) and measuring almost 6,000 tonnes, she is one of the largest motor yachts in the world. Before 2022 she was connected with the Russian entrepreneur and industrialist Andrey Melnichenko, but, according to his representatives, he has no relation to her anymore, neither in terms of ownership, nor in any other way. The yacht has been laid up in the United Arab Emirates since 2022.
Sailing Yacht A is a sailing yacht launched in 2015. The vessel is a sail-assisted motor yacht designed by Philippe Starck and built by Nobiskrug in Kiel, Germany for the Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko.
La Sultana is a yacht that has been refitted from a Soviet era ferry. She was launched in 1962, under the name Aji-Petri and was the fifth in a series of 12 ships that were originally built for the Russian fleet. Her purpose was to transport freight and passengers between the ports of Odessa, Yalta, Sebastopol and Istanbul between the Azov and Black seas. During the Cold War, the ship was believed to be used as a Soviet spy vessel. During the refitting process several spying instruments were discovered, including a radioactivity detector and thick aluminum insulation across the entire boat.
ROCK.IT is a 60.35 m superyacht launched at the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer. The yacht was designed by Dutch design company Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design, which also worked with Feadship on the 88 m (289 ft) twins Musashi and Fountainhead. The yacht is currently owned by The Yacht Company based in Monaco. The yacht was previously owned by Jimmy John Liautaud, who was involved in the design process. Liautaud sold the yacht in June 2023. As of 2024, the yacht was available on Charterworld for paid charters.
The 67.50 m (221.5 ft) superyacht Icon was launched by ICON Yachts at their yard in Harlingen. The interior design of Icon was done by Studio Linse and the exterior work was done by Redman Whiteley Dixon. She has two sister ships, the 2013 built Party Girl and the 2013 built Baton Rouge.

The interior design of Baton Rouge was done by Tim Heywood and the exterior work was done by Redman Whiteley Dixon. Musashi is a motor yacht built in 2011 by Feadship and is owned by American billionaire Larry Ellison. With an overall length of 87.78 m (288.0 ft) and a beam of 13.90 m (45.6 ft) she is the 79th largest yacht in the world, tied with her sister ship Fountainhead. Musashi is named after the Japanese samurai Miyamoto Musashi.
The 80 m (260 ft) superyacht Excellence was launched by Abeking & Rasmussen at their yard near Lemwerder. Both the yacht's exterior and interior design are the work of Winch Design.
Lady Jorgia is a 115.10 m (377.6 ft) superyacht built by Lürssen. Developed using the code name Project Enzo, it was launched at Lürssen's yard near Rendsburg in 2021 and delivered later that same year to Canadian-Jamaican billionaire Michael Lee-Chin under the name Ahpo. Ahpo was built as a replacement for Lee-Chin's previous yacht, Quattroelle, which he sold in 2014. Ahpo was listed for sale in February 2023. Three months later, in May 2023, it was sold for a rumoured €330 million, in what is "believed to be the biggest brokerage deal in history". Upon its sale, it was renamed Lady Jorgia. Her new owner is Canadian billionaire and former ice hockey goaltender Patrick Dovigi. Lady Jorgia made its first appearance after its sale at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.
The 66 m (217 ft) superyacht Luna B was launched by Oceanco at their yard in Alblasserdam. The yacht's exterior design was done by the yard itself and Alberto Pinto was responsible for the interior design. She is owned by American/Canadian billionaire Robert Friedland.
