Kassanda District is a district in Central Uganda. [1] [2]
Kassanda District is bordered by Mubende District to the west, Kyankwanzi District to the north, Kiboga District to the northeast, Mityana District to the east and southeast, and Gomba District to the south.
Mubende is a district in the Central Region of Uganda. The town of Mubende is the site of the district headquarters. The district was reduced in size in July 2005 with the creation of the Mityana District and reduced again in 2019 when Kassanda District was carved out of it.
Frederick Douglas Mwanja Mukisa was a Ugandan educator and politician. He served as the State Minister for Fisheries in the Ugandan Cabinet, from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011, he was dropped from the cabinet and replaced by Ruth Nankabirwa. He also served in the elected Ugandan Parliament, representing "Bukooli County Central", Bugiri District, from 2006 until 2011. During the 2011 national election cycle, he lost to Hajji Siraji Lyavala during the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries, who in turn lost to Wafula Oguttu of the Forum for Democratic Change, in the general election. In March 2015, Siraji Lyavala was elected Chairman (LC-5) of Bugiri District.
The Nordic Resistance Movement is a pan-Nordic neo-Nazi movement in the Nordic countries and a political party in Sweden. Besides Sweden, it is established in Norway, Denmark and Iceland, and formerly in Finland before it was banned in 2019. Terrorism expert Magnus Ranstorp has described the NRM as a terrorist organization due to their aim of abolishing democracy along with their paramilitary activities and weapons caches. In 2022, some members of the United States Congress began calling for the organization to be added to the United States Department of State list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations. On 14 June 2024, the United States Department of State designated NRM and its leaders as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT).
George William Thembo Nyombi is a Ugandan economist and politician. He is the executive director Uganda Communications Commission a position he assumed on 24 November 2023 and a former State Minister for Information Technology in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 27 May 2011. He replaced Alintuma Nsambu, who was dropped from the Cabinet. Prior to that, he served as the State Minister for Luweero Triangle in the Office of the Prime Minister, from 2009 until 2011. Nyombi Thembo is also a former Member of Parliament (MP), for "Kassanda County South", Mubende District. He has continuously represented the constituency since 2001.
Barbara Nekesa Oundo is a Ugandan politician and diplomat, who serves as Uganda's High Commissioner to South Africa, based in Pretoria. In that capacity, she also represents her country, to the nations of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland.

Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde, also Rosemary Nansubuga Sseninde, is a Ugandan educator and politician. She was the State Minister for Primary Education in the Ugandan Cabinet for five years. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016, replacing John Chrysostom Muyingo who became State Minister for Higher Education. She was succeeded by Joyce Moriku.
Godfrey Ssuubi Kiwanda is a Ugandan politician. He was the State Minister for Tourism in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. He concurrently serves as the elected representative of Mityana County North, Mityana District in the 10th Ugandan Parliament (2016–2021).
Boaz Kasirabo Nisiima is a Ugandan medical laboratory scientist and politician. He is the elected Member of Parliament for Kooki County and a representative for NRM, the ruling political party in Uganda. He is a member of Uganda Medical Lab Association and the NRM Parliamentary Caucus and serves on the Committee on Physical Infrastructure in the 10th Parliament of Uganda.
Kassiano Ezati Wadri is a Ugandan social worker and politician. He is the incumbent independent Member of Parliament, representing Arua Municipality in the 10th Parliament, effective 29 August 2018. The seat fell vacant when Ibrahim Abiriga of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), was assassinated in June 2018.

Kwania District is a district in Northern Uganda. It was carved out of Apac District in July 2018. The sub-counties are Chawente, Abongomola, Nambyeiso, Inomo, Aduku; and Aduku town council. The other subcounties are Ayabi, Ayabi town council, Akali, Atongtidi and Inomo town council, totalling to 11 subcounties. The current district chairperson from the recently concluded January 2021 elections is hon Ogwal Geoffrey Alex. He assumes office on 20 May 2021. The outgoing interim chairperson is Okello Onac Basil

He is a member of parliament for Kasanda South constituency in Kasanda District, in Uganda's Central Region in the 11th parliament of the Republic of Uganda. He is the deputy youth leader for greater Mubende under the People Power movement in National Unity Platform political party.
Simeo Muwanga Nsubuga is a Ugandan politician, diplomat, and human rights defender with experience policies and law enforcement. He is the former Mityana South Member of Parliament under the National Resistance Movement political party.
