Sky Showcase is a British pay television channel which launched on 1 September 2021 along with Sky Max. It is owned and operated by Sky Group, a division of American media company Comcast. [1]

The channel was announced on 28 July 2021 to replace Sky One. [2] It broadcasts a selection of programmes from across Sky's portfolio of channels - Sky Witness, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky Nature, Sky Arts, Sky Max, Sky Comedy, Sky History, Sky Kids, Sky Sci-Fi and E! - as well as selected highlights from Sky Cinema, Sky News, and Sky Sports. However, sometimes the channel will air the same series as another Sky channel, but will show a different episode.The channel is being seen by Sky as their flagship channel and as a replacement for Sky One, whose programming transferred to another new channel - Sky Max - and to Sky Comedy. [3] [4] [5] A german-language channel was launched in Germany and Austria on 4 August 2022.

On 15 January 2024, select programming from Sky Atlantic began being broadcast. [6]

Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group. Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial channel. From 31 July 1989, it became Sky One and broadcast exclusively in the United Kingdom and Ireland as British Sky Broadcasting's flagship channel. It existed until 1 September 2021, when it closed down as part of a restructuring with its EPG position taken by Sky Showcase and much of its content library moved to Sky Max.

Sky Atlantic is a British pay television channel owned by Sky Group Limited broadcast in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The channel is primarily dedicated to imported programmes from the United States, and holds the domestic rights to HBO programming until 2025. It also broadcasts many original British produced Sky dramas. It is exclusively available on the Sky satellite TV platform and Sky's Now TV platform. Unlike the other channels from Sky Group, Sky Atlantic is not on Virgin Media. On 15 January 2024, select programming begun being simulcast on Sky Showcase.
