Toonami is a television programming block that primarily consists of Japanese anime and American animation. It was created by Sean Akins and Jason DeMarco and produced by Williams Street, a division of Turner Broadcasting System, which is owned by AT&T's WarnerMedia. The name is a portmanteau of the words "cartoon" and "tsunami".
VIZ Media LLC is an American manga and anime distribution and entertainment company headquartered in San Francisco, California. It was founded in 1986 as VIZ LLC. In 2005, VIZ LLC and ShoPro Entertainment merged to form the current VIZ Media LLC, which is jointly owned by Japanese publishers Shueisha, Shogakukan and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions (ShoPro). As of 2017, Viz Media is the largest publisher of graphic novels and comic books in the United States, with a 23% share of the market.

Anime Central was a British television channel owned by CSC Media Group. The channel launched on 13 September 2007. It was first announced on 5 August 2007, though its license first appeared on the Ofcom website in January. The channel ran from 9pm to 6am, free-to-air on Sky's Digital TV Platform, channel 199; and it was the only channel broadcast in the UK and Ireland which was dedicated solely to showing Anime.

AXN White is a channel operated by Sony Pictures Television International Networks Europe. Its programming is focused on television series and movies. The channel was launched in Portugal on 14 April 2008 and in Spain on May 7, 2012 and replaced Sony Entertainment Television. The channel replaced AXN Crime on 1 October 2013 in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Moldova. On October 3 2017 the channel was replaced by Sony Max in Hungary.
BeTV was a pay television channel, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the Asia-Pacific region. Launched on 2 April 2012, it replaced AXN Beyond as a spin-off of AXN Asia and Sony Entertainment Television. Selected programs from AXN Philippines and SET were exclusively available in the Philippine feed of the channel.
Animax Spain was a Spanish version of anime channel Animax. It was owned by Sony. It was launched in Spain as a programming block on AXN Spain in October 2007. The channel finally launched on 12 April 2008. Animax began as a programming block in Spain and Portugal in the channel AXN. It broadcast InuYasha, Outlaw Star, Trigun, Orphen, Excel Saga and Samurai Champloo and later broadcast Corrector Yui, The Law of Ueki, Detective Conan, Lupin III and Kochikame at weekends from 13:00 to 16:00, which began broadcasting in Portugal and Spain since October 2007 until September 2008. The channel was subsequently fully launched on 12 April 2008 on the Movistar TV and Canal+ platforms in Spain and Meo and Clix in Portugal. Among the series broadcast across Animax's networks in Spain and Portugal were Nana, Black Lagoon, Love Hina, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Chobits, Devil May Cry. Sony Corporation announced on 4 December 2013, that the channel would cease transmission at the end of the month. The channel's programming would move to different channels in the next few weeks; by Animax's last week, it would air just a repeated loop of 2 shows, KochiKame and Yakitate!! Japan. The channel shut down for good at 11:59 PM on 31 December 2013; "Yakitate!! Japan" was the last show aired. After 3 bumpers aired between a goodbye message, it was replaced with a slide signifying the channel's shutdown.
Animax was the Latin American version of Animax. It replaced the Locomotion TV channel on 31 July 2005, which was acquired by Sony on 18 January of the same year. Animax was divided into four feeds: three in Spanish and one in Portuguese (Brazil).
Adult Swim in Australia is an adult-oriented free-to-air television block that airs Saturday and Sunday nights on 9Go!. It was originally a separate network that shared channel space with Cartoon Network Australia, starting 1 January 2007. Some Adult Swim shows have also aired on SBS Viceland, and in October 2013 full episodes and short clips were made available on their website. Shortly after it they soon started to sell their DVDs on the website.
AXN Black is a channel operated by Sony Pictures Television International Networks Europe. Its programming is basically focused on television series and movies. The channel was first launched in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique on May 9, 2011 and replaced Animax. Central european version was launched on October 1, 2013 in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Moldova where has replaced AXN Sci Fi. On October 3 2017 the channel was replaced by Sony Movie Channel in Hungary.
Animax India was the Indian division of Animax Asia, a Japanese anime television channel owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. This channel was a part of Japanese media conglomerate Sony. It was operated and broadcast from Singapore by Animax Asia and distributed by Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt. Ltd. It was also the first animation channel that targets the age 15–25 demographic and was the only channel in India to simulcast anime in the same week and on the same day as Japan. A secondary feed for Pakistan with subtitling and Pakistani-specific advertising also originated from SPN India.
