Arisce Wanzer is an American model, comedian, and actress.

Early life

Wanzer was born in Woodbridge, Virginia. At age 14, seeing a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show inspired her to pursue fashion and modeling. [1] She moved to Miami, which she describes as a "trans Mecca," to attend the Art Institute of Miami at age 17 or 18. [2] [3] It was there, at gay clubs, that she learned what transgender people were when strangers would ask her when she planned on transitioning. She then realized she was trans. [2] At age 19, she came out to her mother, who was very accepting and supportive. [2] She lived in Miami for five years before moving to New York City.

Career

Wanzer participated in a drag troupe for three to four years, also participating in numerous shows at Miami Fashion Week. Subsequently, Wanzer did catwalks at New York Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Week. [2] [3]

Wanzer has been the covergirl for the Spiegel catalog (the first trans model to do so), [4] and has appeared in Elle , Vogue , Vogue Italia, Forbes , and Purple , [4] and worked with high-profile photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier. [3] She has modeled for TopShop and Opening Ceremony. [5] [ failed verification ] She appears in Strut [6] on Oxygen and the trans-focused comedic webseries Fish Tank, alongside Isis King. [7] [8] She is also featured as part of AT&T's Live Proud campaign. [6] In June 2019, she walked the red carpet at L.A. Pride and was interviewed by associate producer of Amazon's Pride: The Series , Braden Bradley. [9] In 2020, she appeared in the premiere episode of Dr. 90210 that shared her rhinoplasty surgery and jaw reshaping with Dr. Michelle Lee. [10]

Nik Kacy, stylized as NiK Kacy is a fashion designer, founder of Equality Fashion Week, former board member of the Los Angeles LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and part of the Trans Inclusion Task Force for the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. In September 2019, Wells Fargo featured Kacy on their Empowerful Exchange video series. In 2017 and 2019, Kacy's gender-free fashion approach was discussed in two scholarly articles, and in 2020, in the book Crossing Gender Boundaries: Fashion to Create, Disrupt, and Transcend. Kacy is a trans-masculine gender-nonbinary person and uses the pronouns they/them/their.

She began modeling in 2018, and has since modeled for Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty, Fluide, Yandy.com, Adore Me, and TOMS Shoes. Montoya, who is a non-binary transgender woman, was featured in 18 LGBTQ+ Policy Makers and Advocates Changing the World by Out Magazine in 2021. In 2022, she was nominated for Favorite TikToker at the 10th annual Queerty Awards.
