Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code is an eight-bit character encoding used mainly on IBM mainframe and IBM midrange computer operating systems. It descended from the code used with punched cards and the corresponding six-bit binary-coded decimal code used with most of IBM's computer peripherals of the late 1950s and early 1960s. It is supported by various non-IBM platforms, such as Fujitsu-Siemens' BS2000/OSD, OS-IV, MSP, and MSP-EX, the SDS Sigma series, Unisys VS/9, Burroughs MCP and ICL VME.

In computing, a code page is a character encoding and as such it is a specific association of a set of printable characters and control characters with unique numbers. Typically each number represents the binary value in a single byte.

Windows code pages are sets of characters or code pages used in Microsoft Windows from the 1980s and 1990s. Windows code pages were gradually superseded when Unicode was implemented in Windows, although they are still supported both within Windows and other platforms.

IBM code page 256 is an EBCDIC code page used in IBM mainframes. It supports all of Latin-1-charset except for the middle dot (·), copyright sign (©) superscript one (¹), multiplication sign (×), division sign (÷). EBCDIC 500 replaces the Peseta Sign (₧) with the middle dot, the florin sign (ƒ) with the copyright sign, the dotless i (ı) with the superscript one, the double low line (‗) with the multiplication sign, and the en space with the division sign to include all of ISO 8859-1. It supports the following:

IBM code page 286 is an EBCDIC code page used on IBM mainframes in Germany and Austria to support the German language.

Code page 310, known as "3270 APL Graphic Escape" or "Graphic Escape APL/TN", is an EBCDIC code page used on IBM mainframes to write the APL programming language. It is used alongside Code page 037, with the Code page 310 codes being prefixed by the Graphic Escape control character.

IBM code page 321 is an EBCDIC code page with full ASCII used in IBM mainframes in the five countries of what was known as Yugoslavia to support the Croatian language, Serbian language, Bosnian language, and Slovenian language.

IBM code page 322 is an EBCDIC code page used in IBM mainframes in Turkey to support the Turkish language.

IBM code page 361 is an EBCDIC code page used in IBM mainframes. It is similar to EBCDIC 500, but does not support all of ISO 8859-1. It also does not support all of ASCII because the circumflex (^) and grave (`) are missing. It contains a number of ligatures and quotation marks but (‚) (U+201A) is missing, because it is unified with the comma in this codepage. This code page is supported by IBM.

IBM code page 386 is an EBCDIC code page used used in IBM mainframes. It is called Publishing: Denmark, Norway. This code page is supported by IBM. It is a modification of EBCDIC 361.
