Origin

K2K Radio began as South Kilburn's very own online community radio station, established in 2012, enabling people to attain skills and have a platform to share their voices, talents and passions with the world. Since 2012 K2K Radio have trained hundreds of presenters and hosted thousands of guests on air. [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] [22]

Ethics and focus

With the right support and encouragement, anyone can run their own radio show. K2K Radio's presenters use their shows for many purposes; to promote their message, build a brand, connect with their community or simply to have fun and share music. Alongside presenters, K2K Radio have a team of studio engineers managing technical aspects and providing support to presenters in studio and remotely. K2K Radio is an entirely voluntary radio station with a global outreach with its presenters and producers being involved for their own personal love and enthusiasm for community, music and radio.

The Now Show is a British radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4, which satirises the week's news. The show is a mixture of stand-up, sketches and songs hosted by Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. The show used to feature regular appearances by Jon Holmes, Laura Shavin, a monologue by Marcus Brigstocke, and music by Mitch Benn, Pippa Evans or Adam Kay, but now features a much wider range of contributors.

West Hampstead is an area in the London Borough of Camden in north-west London. Mainly defined by the railway stations of the same name, it is situated between Childs Hill to the north, Frognal and Hampstead to the north-east, Swiss Cottage to the east, South Hampstead to the south-east, Kilburn to the west and south-west, and Cricklewood to the north-west. Janice Berry, known professionally by her first married name Janice Long, was an English broadcaster who was best known for her work in British music radio. In a career that spanned five decades, she became the first woman to have her own daily music show on BBC Radio 1. She also appeared on other BBC Radio stations, such as BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio WM, and BBC Radio 6 Music, and was a regular presenter on the television chart show Top of the Pops.

Queens Park, London Suburb of London

Queen's Park is an area located partly in the City of Westminster and partly in the London Borough of Brent. Some of the area within Westminster forms a civil parish, the first to be created in London since the right of communities to establish civil parishes was enacted in 2007. The area is located 3.9 miles (6.3 km) north-west of Charing Cross, and centred around a 30 acres (12 ha) park, which opened in 1887 and was named in honour of Queen Victoria. Apache (instrumental) Song by Jerry Lordan

"Apache" is a song written by Jerry Lordan and first recorded by Bert Weedon. Lordan played the song on ukulele to The Shadows while on tour, and liking the song, the group released their own version which topped the UK Singles Chart for five weeks in mid 1960. The Shadows' guitarist Hank Marvin developed the song's distinctive echo and vibrato sound. After hearing the Shadows' version, Danish guitarist Jørgen Ingmann released a cover of the song in November 1960 which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.

NTS Radio is an online radio station and media platform started in the Hackney area of London, England. The station was founded in April 2011 by Femi Adeyemi “for an international community of music lovers”. NTS broadcasts from its studios in London and Los Angeles, as well as remote worldwide broadcasts from its mix of resident hosts and guests.
