The 2015 Abia State House of Assembly election was held on April 11, 2015, to elect members of the Abia State House of Assembly in Nigeria. All the 24 seats were up for election in the Abia State House of Assembly. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Upon the opening of the 6th State House of Assembly, Chikwendu Kalu (PDP-Isiala Ngwa South) was elected as Speaker of the House while Cosmos Ndukwe (PDP-Bende North) and Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji (PDP-Umuahia Central) became Deputy Speaker and House Leader, respectively.

Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe is a Nigerian politician who was elected to the Abia-South Senatorial District of Abia State in the Senate of Nigeria in April 2007. He holds the title Nwadiohanma Ngwa. Enyinnaya is an outspoken senator often contributing to debates on national issues. He is a member of the major opposition People's Democratic Party, PDP in the Nigerian senate. He is currently the Minority leader in the senate.

The Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly is the political head of the Abia State legislative who serves as the presiding officer of the Abia State House of Assembly.
