Kano State House of Assembly is the state legislature of Kano State, Nigeria. The Kano State House of Assembly is one of the arms of Kano State Government which comprises the Executives, Judiciary and the legislatives, House of Assembly are the legislatives of Kano State. The Chamber and the offices of the Members are located at Abdu Bako Secretariat in the state capital, Kano Municipal. The House of Assembly is currently under the Leadership of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP). There have been nine different house of assemblies; the first was inaugurated 2 October 1979 and the present one was inaugurated 7 June 2019. There are forty members of the State House of Assembly, that represent forty-four local government areas in Kano State.
Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya is a Nigerian politician who has served in the Senate of Nigeria since 2007 representing the Kano South constituency of Kano State. He is a member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Hassan Muhammad Gusau, known as Hassan Nasiha, is a Nigerian politician who served as deputy governor of Zamfara State from 2022 to 2023. He took office in 2022 following the impeachment of Mahdi Mohammed Gusau. He was appointed deputy governor by Governor Bello Matawalle after Mahdi Mohammed Gusau was impeached by the Zamfara State House of Assembly on 23 February 2022.

All but three were held on 2 March 2019 with the election for Rivers State being postponed until 4 April, while the Kogi State and Bayelsa State elections were both held on 16 November. The 2019 Zamfara State gubernatorial election occurred on 9 March 2019. APC's Mukhtar Shehu Idris polled 67.41% of the total popular votes, defeating PDP's Bello Matawalle who got 23.89% of the total votes and trailed behind by a margin of 345,089 votes, and several minor party candidates. APC swept the entire 14 LGAs of the state, winning in all. It was, however, Matawalle, who was later declared winner by the INEC and sworn in as governor after the verdict of the Supreme Court, which declared Idris' votes as 'wasted'.

All but three elections were held on 18 March—concurrent with elections to every state house of assembly, three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections—while the Imo State, Kogi State, and Bayelsa State elections will be held on 11 November. The last regular gubernatorial elections for all states were in 2019. All states have a two term limit for Governors which makes 18 incumbent governors ineligible for re-election.

Incumbent APC Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Deputy Governor Umar Namadi held the office for the APC by a margin of 24% over PDP nominee Mustapha Sule Lamido — a businessman and son of former Governor Sule Lamido.

Incumbent PDP Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Former Deputy Governor Ahmad Aliyu gained the office for the APC by a margin of ~6% over the PDP nominee — former Secretary to the State Government Saidu Umar.

The 2019 Nigerian Senate election in Sokoto State was held on February 23, 2019, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Sokoto State. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko representing Sokoto North, Shehu Abubakar Tambuwal representing Sokoto South and Abdullahi Ibrahim Gobir representing Sokoto East all won on the platform of All Progressives Congress. Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party replaced the sacked senator.

The 2019 Nigerian House of Representatives elections in Zamfara State was held on February 23, 2019, to elect members of the House of Representatives to represent Zamfara State, Nigeria. The All Progressives Congress won all seats but the Supreme Court nullified the elections of all the candidates of the APC in the elections. The court ruled that the APC did not conduct valid primaries in the build-up to the elections. A unanimous judgement by a five-member panel of Judges decided that the party had no valid candidate and cannot be said to have won the general elections.
