Islington North is a constituency in Greater London established for the 1885 general election. It has been represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1983 by Jeremy Corbyn, who was Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition from 2015 to 2020. Since 2020, Corbyn has represented the seat as an independent. He was re-elected to Islington North as an independent in the 2024 general election.

Hackney North and Stoke Newington is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom since 1987 by Diane Abbott, a member of the Labour Party who served as Shadow Home Secretary from 6 October 2016 to 5 April 2020. Abbott was one of the first three Black British MPs elected, and the first female Black British MP in the UK.

Cazenove is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Hackney. The ward was first used in the 2002 elections. It returns three councillors to Hackney London Borough Council. Its name derives from the Cazenove Road which runs through the ward. The population of the ward was 15,332 at the 2021 Census.

Elections for Hackney Council in London take place every four years.

The 2012 North Ayrshire Council election took place on 3 May 2012 to elect members of North Ayrshire Council. The election used the eight wards created as a result of the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004, with each ward electing three or four councillors using the single transferable vote system form of proportional representation, with 30 Councillors being elected.

The 1964 Hackney Council election took place on 7 May 1964 to elect members of Hackney London Borough Council in London, England. The whole council was up for election and the Labour party gained control of the council.

The 1998 Hackney London Borough Council election took place on 7 May 1998. All 60 members of Hackney London Borough Council were up for election. The elections took place as part of the 1998 London local elections.

The 2021 United Kingdom local elections were held on Thursday 6 May 2021. More than 145 English local councils, around 5,000 councillor seats, thirteen directly elected mayors in England, and 39 police and crime commissioners in England and Wales were contested. On the same day, the 2021 Hartlepool by-election took place, and there were also elections to the Scottish Parliament, Senedd and London Assembly, the last in conjunction with the London mayoral election.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 Ipswich Borough Council election</span> 2021 UK local government election

Elections to Ipswich Borough Council were held on 6 May 2021. The elections included the seats that were planned to be elected on 7 May 2020, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Usually 16 seats – one in each of the 16 wards – are contested at each election. However, due to the resignation of former Labour Councillor and Mayor Jan Parry in Holywells ward, as well as Conservative Councillor Robin Vickery in Castle Hill, two by-elections were held on the same day. Thus, 18 seats were up for election.

Elections to Hampshire County Council took on 6 May 2021 as part of the 2021 United Kingdom local elections. All 78 seats were up for election, with each ward returning either one or two councillors by first-past-the-post voting for a four-year term of office. This took place at the same time as the elections for the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner and district councils.

The 2021 Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council election took place on 6 May 2021 to elect members of Walsall Council in England. This was on the same day as the 2021 elections for the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, and the 2021 West Midlands mayoral election. These elections had been delayed from May 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom.
