Eaglescliffe is a small town in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees in North East England. It is on the north bank of the River Tees and for ceremonial purposes is in County Durham. The bridge at Eaglescliffe on the border with Yarm marked the last crossing point of tidal section of the River Tees until a five-arch stone toll bridge was built in 1771 in Stockton on Tees. This bridge was replaced in 1887 by the Victoria Bridge, now a grade ll listed building. The opening of the Tees Barrage in Stockton in 1995 made the section of the Tees through Eaglescliffe non-tidal. Eaglescliffe is divided by railway lines which lead from Yarm to Stockton and can only be crossed by vehicles at the north and south of the town, although there are two pedestrian bridges and an underpass.
Preston-on-Tees is a settlement and civil parish on the northern edge of Eaglescliffe, in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees and ceremonial county of County Durham, England. The civil parish population at the 2011 census was 1,689. It is home to Preston Park and Preston Hall.

It is located to the west of Eaglescliffe and Yarm. The name, first attested as Asulue(s)bi in 1086, is of Viking origin and means "Aslak's farm." Aislaby was listed in the Domesday Book of 1086.

It is a township in the parish of Bishopton, County Durham, situated a few miles west of Stockton-on-Tees. From the Census 2011 the population of Little Stainton has included that of Great Stainton and was 193. It is a hamlet, consisting of houses and farms that have no local service facilities, except for a public telephone kiosk and bus stop. On one side of the street, a stream—Bishopton Beck—runs along the bottom of the gardens.
Longnewton is a village and civil parish in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees and ceremonial county of County Durham, England. The population taken at the 2001 Census was 733 increasing to 828 at the 2011 Census. It is situated between Darlington and Stockton-on-Tees. The village is mostly privately owned dwellings, and has two public houses, The Londonderry Arms and The Vane Arms, St. Mary's church and Saint Mary's Church of England primary school. Longnewton is not home to a secondary school however it is in the catchment area for Egglescliffe Secondary School, which is located 3 miles away and around a 10-minute drive. Located in the village is also a community centre, most commonly known as the Wilson Centre which has 3 different venue rooms, for a variety of activities and occasions. Longnewton is also a 10 minutes drive north of Durham Tees Valley Airport. In March 2007 a new bypass and junction on the A66 which runs just north of the village was created after almost 30 years of proposals, the junction was fully open to traffic in May 2008. A new roundabout has been put in place to service Durham Tees Valley Airport and ease traffic levels around the surrounding area.
Grindon is a village and former civil parish in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, in County Durham, England. The civil parish population at the census 2001 was 2,603 reducing to 2,484 at the 2011 Census. It is situated between Sedgefield and Stockton-on-Tees, near to Thorpe Larches. The place name of "Grindon" is derived from the word 'dun', which meant hill. Grindon is situated in the Upland Fells, formed of Carboniferous millstone grit. "The alternating strata of harder and softer rocks give a stepped profile to many dale sides and distinctive flat-topped summits to the higher fells." The village of Grindon is now in the parish of Grindon and Thorpe Thewles.
Hurworth-on-Tees is a village in the borough of Darlington, within the ceremonial county of County Durham, England. It is situated in the civil parish of Hurworth. The village lies to the south of Darlington on the River Tees, close to its meeting point with the River Skerne, and immediately adjoins the village of Hurworth Place, which forms part of the same civil parish.
Redmarshall is a village and civil parish in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees and ceremonial county of County Durham, England. The population as of the 2011 census was 287. Redmarshall is situated to the west of Stockton-on-Tees, just north of the A66 road which is one of the main trunk routes through Teesside. It is home to the Church of Saint Cuthbert and a pub called The Ship. It has a green in the centre and roads such as Church Lane, Coniston Crescent and Windermere Avenue, named after waters in the Lake District. Ferguson Way is the newest addition to the village. A nature reserve is a short way out of the village and down a bank past Ferguson Way. There is an annual fete in the village.
