The Red Line or Line 1 is one of the two proposed lines of Coimbatore Metro, Phase 1 Project, the second being the Green line (Line 4). The line stretches from Ukkadam Bus Terminus to Neelambur. The line consists of 18 stations, out of which the Coimbatore Airport station has a spill off line. [1] [2]

The cost per km will be 182 crores and total cost is 15,000 crores. The metro system will be elevated, underground and on ground. In February 2014, the Government of Maharashtra gave approval for the Metro project, while the Government of India's Ministry of Urban Development had given "In Principle" approval for the project. On 20 August 2014, Union Cabinet gave approval for the development of the project, and the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone on 21 August. Construction began on 31 May 2015, with trial run beginning on 30 September 2017.

The Jammu Metro is a proposed light rail transit system for the city of Jammu in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The project has been proposed by the Housing and Urban Development Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and is estimated to cost Rs. 4825 crores in phase 1. The GreenLine or Line 4 is one of the two proposed lines of Coimbatore Metro, Phase 1 Project, the second being the Red line. The line stretches from Coimbatore Junction to Valiyampalayam Pirivu. The line consists of 14 stations,.

Coimbatore Junction Metro, is a planned elevated metro station in Coimbatore, India. It would serve the Red Line, Yellow Line, Blue Line and Green Line lines of the Coimbatore Metro.
