Burton	Great Britain	The collier ran aground on Scroby Sands, Norfolk. She was consequently beached at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. [1]
Ganges	British East India Company	The brig caught fire in Saugar Roads in the Ganges Delta and exploded with the loss of eight lives after the fllames spread to her gunpowder magazine. The vessel Laurel (flag unknown) rescued her 99 survivors. Some sources place this incident on 11 January 1799. [2] [3]

Droits de l'Homme	French Navy	War of the First Coalition, Action of 13 January 1797: The Téméraire-class ship of the line was driven ashore and wrecked at Plozévet, Finisterre with the loss of between 250 and 390 lives.
Jamaica	Great Britain	The transport ship foundered in the Atlantic Ocean ( 44°N14°W / 44°N 14°W / 44; -14 ). Her crew were rescued. She was on a voyage from Saint Kitts to London. [4]
