Mahamana Express is a superfast express series trains operated by Indian Railways in India. It has substantially improved facilities and modern upgraded rakes compared to other superfast express trains in India. [2] [3]
This train is named in the honour of Madan Mohan Malaviya (Mahamana), a freedom fighter and an education reformer who established Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. [4]
Mahamana Express was launched in 2016 with improved facilities for passengers compared to other superfast express trains in India. The first Mahamana Express connected Delhi and Varanasi. The first run saw a 15% hike in fare due to the upgraded facilities. [3] [5]

The Garib Rath trains are a series of no-frills trains operated by Indian Railways to provide air-conditioned train travel at a cheaper rate compared to regular trains.
The Jan Shatabdi Express is a more affordable and economical version of the Shatabdi Express. The word 'Jan' refers to common people. Being an economical version of the Shatabdi Express, it provides the passenger with Air Conditioned Chair Car, Second Class Seating and Unreserved classes. Though its priority is less than that of the trains like Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express and Duronto Express, it enjoys a greater priority than the Mail, Express and the Superfast Express trains of Indian Railways. The maximum permissible speed of this train is 130 km/h.
The 12927/12928 Dadar–Ekta Nagar Superfast Express is a Superfast train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between Dadar Western and Ekta Nagar in India. It is a daily service. It operates as train number 12927 from Dadar Western to Ekta Nagar and as train number 12928 in the reverse direction. Before being extended to Ekta Nagar, this train regularly ran between Mumbai Central and Vadodara as Vadodara Express.
