Military ranks of Kazakhstan

The Military ranks of Kazakhstan are the military insignia used by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.^[1] Being a former Soviet Republic, Kazakhstan shares a similar rank structure to that of Russia.

Captain 2nd rank is a rank used by the Russian Navy and a number of former communist states. The rank is the middle rank in the staff officer's career group. The Kazakh Naval Forces is the naval force responsible for coastal defense, naval special warfare, and naval warfare branch of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The navy mainly operates on the Caspian Sea and is currently based in the coastal city of Aktau.
