An election for the election of the delegation from Finland to the European Parliament took place on 25 May 2014 with advance voting from 14 to 20 May. [1] Finnish voters elected thirteen members to the European Parliament.

The National Coalition Party is a liberal-conservative political party in Finland. It is currently the biggest party and the ruling political party of Finland.

Vaasa is one of the 13 electoral districts of the Parliament of Finland, the national legislature of Finland. The district was established in 1960 by the merger of Vaasa Province North and Vaasa Province South districts. It is conterminous with the regions of Central Ostrobothnia, Ostrobothnia and South Ostrobothnia. The district currently elects 16 of the 200 members of the Parliament of Finland using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2023 parliamentary election it had 365,027 registered electors.
The Pirate Party is a Pirate Party in Finland that was registered as a political party from 2009 to 2023. The group currently has around 173 paying members. The chairman of the party is Pekka Mustonen. The party is a member of Pirate Parties International and European Pirate Party.

The district was established in 2013 by the merger of North Karelia and North Savo districts. It is conterminous with the regions of North Karelia and North Savo. The district currently elects 15 of the 200 members of the Parliament of Finland using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2023 parliamentary election it had 343,887 registered electors.
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 14 April 2019. For the first time, no party received more than 20% of the vote. The Centre Party, which had been the largest party following the 2015 elections, dropped to fourth place, losing 18 seats and recording its lowest vote share since 1917. The Social Democratic Party saw the biggest gains, winning six more seats and narrowly becoming the largest party for the first time since 1999. The Green League and the Left Alliance also gained five and four seats respectively.
Li Sigrid Andersson is a Finnish politician who served as Minister of Education from 2019 to 2023. The leader of the Left Alliance, she has been a Member of Parliament since 2015. She is also a city councillor of Turku and was the chair of the party's youth wing, Left Youth.

Anne-Mari Virolainen is a Finnish politician of the National Coalition Party who has been a member of the Parliament of Finland since 2007, representing Finland Proper.
Presidential elections were held in Finland on 28 January 2024, with a second round held on 11 February. Voters elected a president of the Republic for a six-year term. Incumbent president Sauli Niinistö was term-limited and ineligible to run for re-election, having served the maximum two terms, ensuring that the president elected would be the country's thirteenth.
