Duku Station (DUK) is a railway station located in Kasang, Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra. The station, which is located at an altitude of +7m, is included in the Regional Division II West Sumatra. To the northeast from line 1 of this station there is a new branch to Minangkabau International Airport which has been operating since 2018. [2] [3]
The station building has now been replaced with a new building with a typical Minangkabau Rumah Gadang architecture. The old station building which is an Staatsspoorwegen ter Sumatra's Westkust heritage has now been torn down.
This line is served by train from the airport to Padang Station, which is 23 km from the airport. Starting 22 March 2019 the Lembah Anai rail bus also stopped at this station in connection with the extension of this railway link to the airport and this station automatically became the station with the busiest rail traffic in West Sumatra. This station has three railway lines with line 2 being a straight line towards Padang and Lubuk Alung. To the northeast of line 1 of this station there is a new branch to Minangkabau International Airport along 3 km which has been operating since 2018. [2] [3]

The majority of Indonesia's railways are on Java, used for both passenger and freight transport. There are three noncontinuous railway networks in Sumatra while two new networks are being developed in Kalimantan and Sulawesi. Indonesia has finalized its plan for a national railway network recently. According to the plan, 3,200 km of train tracks will crisscross the islands of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. It has been touted as the most extensive railway project in Indonesia since its independence from the Dutch in 1945. It has two railway tracks with original line continues southwest to the old port of Muaro, but the line is not reactivated. Since 2007, the government of Padang City officially designated the station as a cultural property.

The station is located at an altitude of +22 m, and is currently the southernmost active station in the province. The station is located within the airport complex and only serves YIA Airport Rail link trips to and from Yogyakarta Station. When it is in operation, the station assists the role of Wojo Station as the closest station to YIA Airport.
