Karawang HSR Station is a large class A-type high-speed railway station located in Wanakerta, Karawang Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The station only serves the KCIC Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail route. [2]

Currently, Karawang Station is not yet able to provide services for dropping off and picking up passengers Whoosh high speed rail, because it is still in the completion stage of construction of this project, which is likely to be operational in February 2024 in the coming year.

Station layout

This station have four tracks with two straight tracks which are only used for direct overtake and two turning tracks which are equipped with side platforms. Apart from the four main lines for train services, this station also has a depot for storing comprehensive inspection trains (EMU-CIT) and ballast stone trains to the south of the emplacement.

The KCJB Feeder train is a train operated by Kereta Api Indonesia on the Padalarang-Bandung route. This train operates as a feeder for Whoosh high-speed railway passengers from the Bandung City and Cimahi City areas to the high-speed railway hub at Padalarang Station. The train began operating to serve public passengers on 3 October 2023, in conjunction with the Whoosh Experience programme organised by KCIC, using a series of ME204 diesel electric locomotive (KRDE) made by Industri Kereta Api (INKA).
