Kulon Progo Regency is one of the four regencies within the Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Java. The regency's name stems from the fact that it is situated to the west of the Progo River. The capital is Wates. The greatest part of the population of the regency work as farmers. Kulon Progo Regency is surrounded by the Menoreh Hills. The area of the regency is 586.27 km2, and the population was 388,755 at the 2010 census and 436,395 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 451,342 - comprising 223,328 males and 228,014 females.

Yogyakarta International Airport is an international airport located at Temon district of Kulon Progo Regency, in Java, Indonesia. The airport is situated around 45 kilometers from the city of Yogyakarta, which serves the Yogyakarta Special Region, as well as nearby Central Javan cities such as Purworejo, Kebumen, Cilacap and Magelang. It is the largest and one of the three airports in the Yogyakarta Special Region, the other being Adisutjipto Airport which is located closer to the Yogyakarta city center and Gading Airfield in Wonosari, Gunung Kidul Regency. The airport serves flights to and from several cities and towns in Indonesia and some international destinations such as Malaysia and Singapore.
Padalarang Station (PDL) is a railway station complex in Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The complex is planned to serve long-distance train services from Kereta Api Indonesia, commuter trains from KAI Commuter, and Jakarta-Bandung high-speed trains from Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC). The complex is in the form of two different station buildings, each operated by KAI and KCIC, and connected via a pedestrian bridge.

Cirebon Station also known as Cirebon Kejaksan Station is the main railway station in the Cirebon area located on Siliwangi Street, Kebonbaru, Kejaksan, Cirebon. The station is located at DAOP 3 area as North Cross Line, but in this station there is also cross line in Purwokerto Station which is connected by South Cross Line in Kroya Station. Therefore, most of the trains both north and south lines stopped at this station, except economy class train which is stop at Cirebon Prujakan.

It is operated by Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) because its subsidiary KAI Bandara doesn't have stakes owned by Angkasa Pura I.
Prambanan Express, commonly abbreviated as Pramex and Prameks is a commuter rail service that operates between Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo, Purworejo Regency, Central Java in Indonesia. The service, which first operated in 1994, covers a distance of about 64 kilometers and operates using diesel multiple unit trains. It was previously serving Yogyakarta–Solo for 26 years before it was electrified in 2021.

KAI Commuter Yogyakarta Line is a commuter rail system in Indonesia serving Greater Yogyakarta in Special Region of Yogyakarta and Greater Surakarta (Solo) in Central Java. Operated by KAI Commuter, subsidiary of the national railway company Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), it is the first electric-powered commuter rail system in Indonesia outside of Greater Jakarta's KRL Commuterline. The single-line system replaced Yogyakarta-Solo section of diesel-powered commuter rail Prambanan Ekspres (Prameks), also operated by KAI Commuter, on 10 February 2021.

Launched on 6 May 2019, it has had two routes, Yogyakarta–Wojo and Yogyakarta–Wojo–Kebumen, before changed into single Yogyakarta–Yogyakarta International Airport route in 2021 after a spur line to the airport was fully built.
Wates Station (WT) is a class-II railway station located in Wates, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia owned by the Operational Area VI Yogyakarta of Kereta Api Indonesia. The station is located at an altitude of +18 meters, at the south of Alun-Alun Wates and Kulon Progo Regency government complex. It is the main station of the regency, serving various passenger rail services both long distance and local/commuter rail services.
