Kasarwadi Railway Station is the only railway station in the locality. The station is on the junction of Old Mumbai–Pune Highway and Pune–Nashik Highway. Station has two platforms and a foot overbridge.

Kasarwadi metro station is an elevated metro station on the North-South corridor of the Purple Line of Pune Metro in Pimpri Chinchwad, India. The station was opened on 6 March 2022 as an inauguration of Pune Metro. [1] From March 2022 to July 2023, the Purple Line operated between PCMC Bhavan and Phugewadi, [2] but from 1 August 2023 the section between Phugewadi and Civil Court metro station came into use, so trains run from PCMC Bhavan to Civil Court. [3]

Pune Metro is a mass rapid transit system serving the city of Pune, India. The system comprises 3 lines with a combined length of 54.14 km (33.64 mi), of which 21.75 km (13.51 mi) on two lines are operational as of August 2023. The 16.59 km (10.31 mi) Purple line from PCMC Bhavan to Swargate runs on an elevated viaduct between PCMC Bhavan to Range Hills, from where it goes underground. The Aqua line runs from Vanaz to Ramwadi covering a distance of 14.66 km (9.11 mi) on an elevated viaduct. The 23.33 km (14.50 mi) elevated Line 3 will run from the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi via Balewadi to Civil Court. All three lines will align at the Civil Court interchange station.

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is the civic body that governs Pimpri-Chinchwad which includes Pimpri, Akurdi, Chinchwad, Nigdi, and the remainder of the northwestern city limits of Pune, India. It was established on 11 October 1982. It governs an area of 181 km2 with a population of 1.72 million. The executive power of the PCMC is vested in the Municipal Commissioner, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer appointed by the Government of Maharashtra. The position is held by Shekhar Singh (IAS) during the pandemic in late December 2020. The general body of the PCMC consists of 128 directly elected councilors, popularly known as "corporators", headed by a mayor. Rahul Jadhav (BJP) was elected as the mayor and Sachin Chinchwade (BJP) as the deputy mayor in August 2018. The PCMC headquarters is situated on the Old Pune Mumbai Highway alongside the freeway in the city of Pune.
