Nira is a river flowing through the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a tributary of the Bhima river and flows through Pune and Solapur districts of Maharashtra. Karha is a tributary of Nira.
This river originates in western ghats in pune district and flows from Bhor taluka, Shirwal Taluka Satara District, Solapur District and then meets Bhima Basin at Nira Narsingpur near Akluj. It then flows with the Bhima water to Solapur District. The Nira river meets the Bhima between Nira Narsingpur in Pune District and Malshiras Taluka in Solapur district. The dams built on the Nira river are Devdhar dam and Veer dam in Satara and Pune District.
Pandharpur is a Popular pilgrimage town, on the banks of Chandrabhagā River, near Solapur city in Solapur District, Maharashtra, India. Its administrative area is one of eleven tehsils in the District, and it is an electoral constituency of the state legislative assembly. The Vithoba temple attracts about a million Hindu pilgrims during the major yātrā (pilgrimage) in Ashadha (June–July).

The temple is situated on Pune side of the Pune-Solapur district border also on the common point of three Talukas Madha, Malashiras and Indapur. The temple is the Kuldaiwat for a number of Marathi families of different castes.
The Karha is a river flowing through the Indian state of Maharashtra. Its basin lies in the parts of Pune. The cities of Baramati, Saswad and Jejuri, the place of Lord Khandoba, lie on the banks of this river. The Karha is a tributary of the Nira River. Ghod River is located in Pune District, Maharashtra, western India. It is a tributary of the Bhima River. The Ghod originates on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats at 1,090 metres (3,580 ft) above sea level. It flows in an east-southeast direction for approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) before its confluence with the Bhima. It flows from the northern side of the Sahyadri Hills.

The Veer Dam is one of the important dams in Maharashtra, India. It is a rubble-concrete dam constructed on Nira River. It is located in near Shirwal, Satara district. The water is mainly used for irrigation and farming. The dam is located around 70 km from Pune. This place offers a good stretch of 7–8 km along the river Nira. This entire belt along the river is extremely rich with Avifauna.

The Yerla River, alternatively Yerala River, is a tributary of Krishna River. It originates from the Mhaskoba hills in the extreme north of Khatav taluka of Satara district. It flows along a valley flanked by the Vardhangad range to its right and the Mahimangad range to its left and its total length is about 125 km. In Satara district, it passes through Mol, Lalgun, Pusegaon, Khatav, Vaduj and Nimsod. Later in Sangli district it joins Krishna River near Brahmanal. The Yerala is nonperennial river. This river is a major source of irrigation in the eastern part of Satara district and Sangli district in Maharashtra and helpful for seasonal agriculture production. The drainage network influences the economic and social development of people.
Welu River or Vel River is a minor but important tributary of Bhima River in Pune district, Maharashtra, India. It originates and flows through the Ambegaon, Khed, Shirur talukas of Pune District.
