The Harbour line is a branch line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway operated by Central Railway. It was named so because it catered to the eastern neighbourhoods along the city's natural harbour. Indian Railways does not currently have any operational high-speed rail lines, though a total of eight corridors have been approved, with the corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad under construction. As of 2023, the fastest train services in India are the Gatimaan Express and Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj)–Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express with peak operational speed of 160 km/h (99 mph) on the Tughlakabad – Agra Cantonment section of the route.
The Western Railway Elevated Corridor, also known as the Oval Maidan-Virar elevated corridor, was a proposed rapid transit corridor that would have run along the same alignment as the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway, and link Oval Maidan with Virar.
The Central line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway is a public transit system serving Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It consists of 24 stations from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Kalyan Junction. The entire line is at grade. It has section of quadruple track starting from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and ends at Kasara, Roha, Uran and Khopoli in Maharashtra.
Panvel railway station is a railway station on the Harbour Line and Central line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network.
The CST–Panvel fast corridor is a proposed elevated suburban rail corridor on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway for air-conditioned EMUs.
The Yellow Line of the Mumbai Metro is the second metro line in the city of Mumbai connecting Dahisar in the northwest with Mandale in Mankhurd via Andheri, BKC and Chembur in the east. Phase One of Line 2A was partially opened on 2 April 2022 from Dahisar East to Dahanukarwadi. On 19 January 2023, the whole line (2A) from Dahisar East to Andheri West was operational for the public.
Red Line 7 is a rapid transit line in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and part of the Mumbai Metro system. When fully completed, the 30.08 km (18.69 mi) line will connect Bhayander with the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport with 24 stations. The line is mostly elevated and partially underground.
Orange Line 5, or the Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Line, is a rapid transit line in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Maharashtra, India, and part of the Mumbai Metro system. When fully completed, the 24.9 km (15.5 mi) line will connect Thane with Kalyan via Bhiwandi, with 17 stations. The line will be fully elevated except for a 3 km underground section in Bhiwandi.
