Khunjerab Pass is a mountain pass situated at an elevation of 4,693 meters above sea level. It is located in the Karakoram and holds a significant strategic position on the northern border of Pakistan, specifically in the Gilgit–Baltistan's Hunza and Nagar Districts. Additionally, it is positioned on the southwestern border of China, within the Xinjiang region.

The Karakoram Highway is a 1,300 km (810 mi) national highway which extends from Hasan Abdal in the Punjab province of Pakistan to the Khunjerab Pass in Gilgit-Baltistan, where it crosses into China and becomes China National Highway 314. The highway connects the Pakistani provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa plus Gilgit-Baltistan with China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The highway is a popular tourist attraction and is one of the highest paved roads in the world, passing through the Karakoram mountain range, at 36°51′00″N75°25′40″E at maximum elevation of 4,714 m (15,466 ft) near Khunjerab Pass. Due to its high elevation and the difficult conditions under which it was constructed, it is often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The highway is also a part of the Asian Highway AH4.
Tashkurgan, historically known as Sarikol and Shitoucheng, is a town in the far west of China, close to the country's border with Tajikistan. It is seat of Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County, in the autonomous region of Xinjiang. Chinese Tajiks – ethnic Pamiris who live in the Pamir Mountains of Xinjiang – make up a little over half of Tashkurgan's population.

Akto County is a county in Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. The county borders Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and has two towns, 11 townships, four state-owned farms and a plant nursery under its jurisdiction with the county seat being Akto Town. The county contains an area of 24,555 km2 (9,481 sq mi) and has a population of 221,526 as of 2015, of 231,756 as of 2017.
Qiemo Airport was an airport serving Qiemo Town in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. After passenger service to the airport ended in 2011, a 2012 CAAC report stated that Qiemo Airport had been closed. It was replaced by Qiemo Yudu Airport in December 2016, where Qiemo Town regained commercial air service.
Beijing Daxing International Airport, is one of two international airports serving Beijing, the capital city of China, the other one being Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). It is located on the border of Beijing and Langfang, Hebei Province. It has been nicknamed "the starfish." It was completed on June 30, 2019, and began operations on September 26, 2019. Beijing Daxing covers an expanse of 2,679 hectares and has four civilian runways and one military runway.
Qionghai Boao Airport is an airport serving the city of Qionghai in Hainan Province, China. The airport received approval from the national government in January 2013, and was opened on 17 March 2016 after three years of construction.
Shache Ye'erqiang Airport is an airport that serves Yarkant County (Shache) in Kashgar Prefecture of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China. It is located near Zerepshat/Zirefuxiati Village. The airport received approval from the State Council of China and the Central Military Commission in January 2014. The estimated cost of construction was 541 million yuan. Shache Airport opened on 1 August 2017 as the 19th airport in Xinjiang.
Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Qingdao in East China’s Shandong province. It received approval in December 2013, and replaced Qingdao Liuting International Airport as the city's main airport. It is located in Jiaodong, Jiaozhou, 39 kilometres (24 mi) from the center of Qingdao. The airport opened on 12 August 2021 and is currently the largest airport in Shandong, capable of handling 35 million passengers annually.
The AVIC AG600 Kunlong is a large amphibious aircraft designed by AVIC and assembled by CAIGA. Powered by four WJ-6 turboprops, it is one of the largest flying boats with a 53.5 t (118,000 lb) MTOW. After five years of development, assembly started in August 2014, it was rolled out on 23 July 2016 and it made its first flight from Zhuhai Airport on 24 December 2017; it should be certified in 2024, with deliveries starting in 2025.
Qiemo Yudu Airport is an airport that serves Qiemo Town in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. Located roughly 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) northwest of the town, the airport has a 4,500-square-metre (48,000 sq ft) terminal and a runway that measures 2,800 metres (9,200 ft). It replaced another airport serving the town, which has a shorter runway, on 19 December 2016. China Southern Airlines offers flights to Ürümqi via Korla.
Pokhara International Airport is an international airport in Pokhara, Gandaki Province, Nepal. It is located 3 km (1.9 mi) east of the old domestic airport, which it will gradually replace. The airport is Nepal's third international airport and officially began operations on 1 January 2023, with STOL-operations to Jomsom still being operated from the old airport. The airport is expected to handle up to one million passengers per year, but as of 2023 has no regular international flights. It has also been dogged by allegations of poor construction quality despite its uncommonly high cost of construction.
