In the U.S. state of Nebraska, the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) maintains a system of state highways. Every significant section of roadway maintained by the state is assigned a number, officially State Highway No. X [2] but also commonly referred to as Nebraska Highway X, as well as N-X. State highways are signed with a white trapezoidal field on a black background with the state, route number and oxen pulled covered wagon displayed in black (see Nebraska State Highway System § Signage). Along with the state highways are a system of spurs and links which provide additional access points for the state highway system. In addition, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has designated some roads as Recreational Roads which are maintained by NDOT but are mostly unsigned.

Interstate 515 (I-515) is a 14.44-mile-long (23.24 km) spur route of I-15 in the US state of Nevada that runs from the junction of I-11, I-215, and State Route 564 (SR 564) at the Spaghetti Bowl Interchange in Henderson to the junction of I-15, U.S. Route 93 (US 93), and US 95 at the Las Vegas Spaghetti Bowl Interchange in Downtown Las Vegas. The freeway connects traffic headed from Boulder City and Henderson to Downtown Las Vegas via a direct, high-speed route, and it runs concurrently with, US 93, and US 95 along its entire length.
Interstate 180 (I-180) is a short auxiliary Interstate Highway in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. The north–south spur freeway connects I-80 to downtown Lincoln, running for 3.5 miles (5.6 km) while entirely concurrent to U.S. Route 34 (US 34). I-180 has two intermediate interchanges at Cornhusker Highway and Superior Street, both located north of Oak Creek. It is the only auxiliary interstate highway completely in the state of Nebraska.
The Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR) was the state government agency charged with building and maintaining the state and federal highways in the U.S. State of Nebraska from 1957 to 2017. The main headquarters of the agency was located in Lincoln, the capital city. At the time of its dissolution, there were eight NDOR district offices located across the state. Since 2017 the NDOR merged with the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics and is now a part of the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is the state government agency charged with building and maintaining the state highways in the U.S. state of Nebraska, as well as the state's airports. The main headquarters of the agency is located in Lincoln, the capital city. There are currently eight NDOT district offices located across the state.
The Nevada Department of Transportation is a government agency in the U.S. state of Nevada. NDOT is responsible for maintaining and improving Nevada's highway system, which includes U.S. highways and Interstate highways within the state's boundaries. The department is notable for its aggressively proactive approach to highway maintenance. Nevada state roads and bridges have also been named some of the nation's best.
State Route 535 (SR 535) is the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) designation for two discontinuous sections of Idaho Street just west of and within the small city of Elko in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Nevada. Both segments are also signed as Interstate 80 Business, which is also signed along the city-maintained segment of Idaho Street between the two NDOT segments as well as the city-maintained segment of Idaho Street east of the final eastern terminus all the way to East Jennings Way, from which it connects to the Elko East exit on Interstate 80. Most of Interstate 80 Business in Elko, including both segments of SR 535, were formerly designated U.S. Route 40.
State Route 439 (SR 439) is a four-lane state highway in Lyon, Storey and Washoe Counties in Nevada. Better known as USA Parkway, the route connects U.S. Route 50 (US 50) in Silver Springs to Interstate 80 (I-80) in Clark via the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC). The northern portion of USA Parkway was initially constructed by the industrial center's developers; however, the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) agreed to assume control of the road after Tesla announced plans to build its Gigafactory at TRIC in 2014. NDOT opened the extension of SR 439 south to US 50 in Lyon County on September 8, 2017.
The Nebraska State Highway System consists of all the state highways in Nebraska maintained by the Nebraska Department of Roads. This includes federally designated Interstates and US Highways as well as state highways, links and spurs. The system comprises 9,942 miles (16,000 km) of state highways in all 93 counties. Highways within the system range in scale and quality from 10-lane urban freeways, such as I-80 around Omaha, to standard two-lane rural undivided highways as well as 39 miles (63 km) of state highways that remain unpaved such as N-67 north of Dunbar. Surrounding landscapes along the highway system range from the urban areas in Omaha and Lincoln to scenic journeys through uninhabited grasslands in the Nebraska Sandhills.
California uses a postmile highway location marker system on all of its state highways, including U.S. Routes and Interstate Highways. The postmile markers indicate the distance a route travels through individual counties, as opposed to milestones that indicate the distance traveled through a state. The postmile system is the only route reference system used by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The system was operative by 1966.
Nebraska Highway 85 (N-85) was a highway in the Omaha Metro Area. It began at Nebraska Highway 370 in Papillion and ended at U.S. Highway 275 and Nebraska Highway 92 on the border of Omaha and Ralston. It was a four-lane highway for its entire length.
U.S. Route 6 (US 6) is a United States Numbered Highway, stretching from Bishop, California in the west to Provincetown, Massachusetts on the East Coast. The Nevada portion crosses the center of the state, serving the cities of Tonopah and Ely, en route to Utah and points further east. Like US 50 to the north, large desolate areas are traversed by the route, with few or no signs of civilization, and the highway crosses several large desert valleys separated by numerous mountain ranges towering over the valley floors in what is known as the Basin and Range Province of the Great Basin.
