Pierre Beuzit

Pierre Beuzit (born 1942) is a French engineer, and was responsible for the design of the Renault Clio in the 1990s.

Early life

He gained a degree in Physics in 1966 at the École centrale de Lyon, followed by a Masters degree (Diplôme d'études approfondies or DEA) in 1967, and a Docteur d'État (PhD) in Nuclear Physics in 1971 from the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives or CEA).

Renault

He joined Renault in 1971 as an engineer. In 1972 he joined the Vehicle Synthesis Department. From 1984-92 he was Director of Advanced Projects (Directeur des Avant-projets).

In the 1990s he was responsible (Directeur gamme Clio) for the overall design of the Clio II (B Product Range), which was launched in 1998. [1] The Clio II design lasted until 2012.

From 1998-2005 he was Director of Research (Directeur de la Recherché) at Renault. Although Renault is headquartered at Boulogne-Billancourt in Hauts-de-Seine in the west of Paris, the design is carried out at the Centre Technique Renault de Rueil (Rueil Technical Centre, or CTR), also in Hauts-de-Seine.

In September 2006 he retired from Renault.

Hydrogen cars

He is currently researching hydrogen as a fuel for automobiles at the Centre National de Recherche Technologique (CNRT), which researches fuel cells (Systèmes Pile à combustible), and is overseen by the Ministère de la Recherche.

Personal life

He is married with two children.

Patrick Ollier is a French politician. He is the Mayor of Rueil-Malmaison. He was a national assembly deputy from 1988 to 2017, as a member of the UMP. Secondly for Hauts-de-Seine's 7th constituency from 2002 to 2017. He was briefly the President of the National Assembly in 2007. He is the partner of Michèle Alliot-Marie, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs in the government of François Fillon.

Pays des Impressionnistes

The Pays des Impressionnistes is a certification mark created by the Syndicat intercommunal à vocations multiples des Coteaux de Seine in 2001 to promote the cultural heritage of this touristic area. Nine municipalities in the Yvelines department of France bordering the loop of the Seine River, where, during the nineteenth century, impressionist painters exercised their art, are associated with this creation: Bougival, Carrières-sur-Seine, Chatou, Croissy-sur-Seine, Le Pecq, Le Port-Marly, Louveciennes, Marly-le-Roi and Noisy-le-Roi. There is the Path of the Impressionists, four hiking trails dotted with reproductions of paintings, reflecting the still remarkable character of this landscape of Impressionist sites which has been proposed for inclusion in the World Heritage Site since 2009. Rueil-Malmaison, in the Hauts-de-Seine department, joined them in 2010, when eight of these municipalities have entrusted development task of the Pays des Impressionnistes to the visitor center of Marly-le-Roi, which organises Impressionist cruises along the banks of the Seine, as well as visits of ateliers of contemporary painters.
