The Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission (KTSIEC) has declared the All Progressive Congress APC, winner for all the chairmanship and councillorship seat in the 31 local governments so far announced for the April 11 local government election held in the state.
Katsina State(Hausa: Jihar Katsina) is a state in the northwestern geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Katsina State was created in 1987, when it split from Kaduna State. Today, Katsina State borders Kaduna, Zamfara, Kano, and Jigawa States. Nicknamed the "Home of Hospitality", both the state capital and the town of Daura have been described "ancient seats of Islamic culture and learning" in Nigeria.

Garba Yakubu Lado Danmarke is a Nigerian businessman who became a Member of the House of Representatives (2003–2007) and was elected a Federal Senator in April 2007 for Katsina South constituency of Katsina State as a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Lawrence Anebi Onojalisten was the military governor of Plateau State, Nigeria from 1986 to July 1988 and then of Katsina State until December 1989 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. He is a former Member House of Representative, and assumed the Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011, where he represents Katsina North Senatorial District under the platform of Congress for Progressive Change. Sirika held the position of vice-chairman of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Committee set by the Nigerian Senate.
Aminu Bello Masari is a Nigerian politician and current Governor of Katsina State. He was the Commissioner for works, housing and transport Katsina state from 1991 to 1993. He was the speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007. Masari hails from Masari village of Kafur local government, Katsina State.
