Coatomer subunit beta is a protein that is encoded by the COPB2 gene in humans. [5] [6]
The Golgi coatomer complex (see MIM 601924) constitutes the coat of non-clathrin-coated vesicles and is essential for Golgi budding and vesicular trafficking. It consists of 7 protein subunits, including COPB2.[supplied by OMIM] [6]
COPB2 has been shown to interact with:
COPI is a coatomer, a protein complex that coats vesicles transporting proteins from the cis end of the Golgi complex back to the rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER), where they were originally synthesized, and between Golgi compartments. This type of transport is retrograde transport, in contrast to the anterograde transport associated with the COPII protein. The name "COPI" refers to the specific coat protein complex that initiates the budding process on the cis-Golgi membrane. The coat consists of large protein subcomplexes that are made of seven different protein subunits, namely α, β, β', γ, δ, ε and ζ.
ADP-ribosylation factor 6 (ARF6) is a member of the ADP ribosylation factor family of GTP-binding proteins. ARF6 has a variety of cellular functions that are frequently involved in trafficking of biological membranes and transmembrane protein cargo. ARF6 has specifically been implicated in endocytosis of plasma membrane proteins and also, to a lesser extent, plasma membrane protein recycling.
Regulator of G protein signaling 4 also known as RGP4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RGS4 gene. RGP4 regulates G protein signaling.
ADP-ribosylation factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ARF1 gene.
Regulator of G-protein signaling 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RGS2 gene. It is part of a larger family of RGS proteins that control signalling through G-protein coupled receptors (GPCR).
Coatomer subunit beta is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COPB1 gene.
Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(I)/G(S)/G(T) subunit beta-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GNB1 gene.
5'-AMP-activated protein kinase subunit beta-1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PRKAB1 gene.
Cytohesin-2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CYTH2 gene.
A-kinase anchor protein 9 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AKAP9 gene. AKAP9 is also known as Centrosome- and Golgi-localized protein kinase N-associated protein (CG-NAP) or AKAP350 or AKAP450
Cytohesin-1 formerly known as Pleckstrin homology, Sec7 and coiled/coil domains 1 (PSCD1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CYTH1 gene.
ADP-ribosylation factor 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ARF3 gene.
Coatomer subunit alpha is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COPA gene.
Coatomer subunit epsilon is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COPE gene.
Coatomer subunit gamma-2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COPG2 gene.
Coatomer subunit gamma is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COPG gene. It is one of seven proteins in the COPI coatomer complex that coats vesicles as they bud from the Golgi complex.
ADP-ribosylation factor 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ARF4 gene.
ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ARL1 gene.
Arf-GAP with SH3 domain, ANK repeat and PH domain-containing protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ASAP2 gene.
Guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit beta-4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GNB4 gene.
