Marshallton is an unincorporated community, census designated place, and federal historic district in West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of 2020, the CDP had a population of 500. [2] It is one of three historic districts in West Bradford Township that are on the National Register of Historic Places. The village is largely known for its historic buildings, some notable restaurants, and the nearby Highland Orchards, a pick-your-own orchard offering a variety of produce year round and very popular for its apples and pumpkins as well as products made from the same. Highland Orchards is a frequent field trip destination for local schools, especially in the fall.
The Marshallton Historic District encompasses 65 contributing buildings and three contributing sites. It includes the separately listed Humphry Marshall House, Marshalton Inn, and Bradford Friends Meetinghouse. [3]
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. [1]
Oley Township is a township in Berks County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census, the township had a population of 3,620. Oley Township was originally formed in 1740 as a part of Philadelphia County, before Berks County was formed in 1752. Bradford Friends Meetinghouse, also known as Marshallton Meeting House, is a historic Quaker meeting house located at Marshallton in West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1764–1765, and is a one-story, stone structure with a gable roof. A porch was added to two sides of the building in the 19th century. The interior is divided into four rooms, rather than the customary two. Abraham Marshall, father of botanist Humphry Marshall was instrumental in the establishment of the meeting in the 1720s. The meeting originally met from 1722 to 1727 at the Marshall home, Derbydown Homestead, from 1722 to 1727.

Temple-Webster-Stoner House, also known as the Little House on Broad Run and Old Mill House, is a historic home located in West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. A datestone suggests the house was built in 1714, but may have been built at the time of the mill about 1730. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, fieldstone structure. A kitchen wing was added about 1800. Now used as a Unitarian Retreat.
Marshallton Inn, also known as The General Wayne Inn, is a historic inn and tavern located in West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The original section was built about 1790, and subsequently enlarged with five additions. It is a 2 1/2-story, fieldstone and frame structure in an Early Federal style. It was originally built as a residence, but converted to an inn and tavern by 1814. It continues to operate as a tavern and restaurant.
Worth–Jefferis Rural Historic District is a national historic district located in East Bradford Township and West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 42 contributing buildings and 5 contributing sites in rural Chester County. It includes a variety of vernacular stone farmhouses, Pennsylvania bank barns, and farm outbuildings. Notable properties include the Georgia Farm (1740), Glen-Worth Farm, Barr Farm, Lucky Hill Farm, Blue Rock Farm, Allerton Farm, Barry Farm, and Sarah Baldwin Farm. Located within the district is the separately listed Carter-Worth House and Farm.
