National Highway 709A, commonly called NH 709A is a national highway in India. [1] [2] It is a greenfield spur road of NH-709. [3] NH-709A traverses the states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in India. [2] Karnal to Meerut section has been upgraded from 4 lanes to 6 lanes by Public Works Department, Haryana. [4]

The National Capital Region is a planning region centered upon the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi in India. Expressways are the highest class of roads in India. In July 2023, the total length of expressways in India was 5,579 km (3,467 mi), with 8,366 km (5,198 mi) under construction. These are controlled-access highways where entrance and exits are controlled by the use of cloverleaf or trumpet or grade separated interchanges that are incorporated into the design of the expressway and designed for maximum speed of 120 km/h, whereas National highways are flyover access or tolled, where entrance and exit is through the side of the flyover, at each intersection of highway with road, flyovers are provided to bypass the city/town/village traffic and these highways are designed for speed of 100 km/h. Some roads are not access-controlled expressways but are still named expressways, such as the Bagodara–Tarapur Expressway, Biju Expressway, these are actually state highways that are not declared by the central government as an Expressway, hence not an Expressway or National Highway.

Shamli is a district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This district was carved out from Muzaffarnagar District on 28 September 2011 as Prabudh Nagar and renamed Shamli in July 2012. Shamli is the headquarters of the district. Shamli is located along the Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway, Ambala-Shamli Expressway, Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway, Delhi–Saharanpur, Meerut-Karnal and Panipat-Khatima Highways.

National Highway 9 is a National Highway in India in east-west direction. It starts at Malout in Punjab and ends at Pithoragarh in Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand. It passes through the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. After renumbering of all national highways by National Highway Authority of India in 2010, the current NH 9 was formed by merging segments of five separate national highways in 2010; these were Old NH 10, Old NH 24, Old NH 87, Old NH 74 and Old NH 125.

National Highway NH 34 is a National Highway in India. It runs from Gangotri Dham in Uttarakhand to Lakhnadon in Madhya Pradesh, passing through the state of Uttar Pradesh.

National Highway 709 starts from Rajgarh and ends at Panipat, Rajgarh is in the state of Rajasthan. Rohtak, Bhiwani and Pilani are the major towns in between on this highway route. National Highway 344 is a national highway in India running from Ambala in Haryana to Roorkee in Uttarakhand. It is a secondary route of National Highway 44. NH-344 runs in the states of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in India.

National Highway 330 is a national highway in India that links Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh to Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh. Previously this highway was named NH-96. NH 330 is a 4 Lane highway in UP.
