Jawaharnagar is a city of, and a municipal corporation located in, Medchal-Malkajgiri district in the Indian state of Telangana. It was upgraded to Municipal corporation in 2019. [2] Previously, it was a part of Shamirpet mandal but now falls under the newly formed Kapra mandal.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) dumpsite is located in this village over an area of approximately 350 acres and about 3,500 metric tons of waste generated in the city of Hyderabad daily is disposed off here. New facilities for resource recovery from waste such as compost, recyclables, RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) are being created under PPP (Public Private Partnership) through reclamation and remediation of dumpsite area.
It covers an area of 15,000 acres and is home to premier educational institutions like BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, Bio-Tech Park, Meditech Valley are all located here. [3] XLRI is setting up its campus here on a 75-acre plot. [4] Jawahar nagar starts from ″Ambedkar Nagar″ ends at "Balaji Nagar".

Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is a local government for the City of Chennai in the Chennai Metropolitan Area of Tamil Nadu, India. Inaugurated on 29 September 1688, under a royal charter issued by King James II of England on 30 December 1687 as the Corporation of Madras, it is the oldest municipal body of the Commonwealth of Nations outside Great Britain. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is the urban planning agency of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. The HMDA administers the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region, spread over an area of 7,257 km2 (2,802 sq mi) and covers the districts of Hyderabad district, Medchal district, part of Rangareddy district, Bhuvanagiri district, Sangareddy district, Medak district and Siddipet district. HMDA is the largest urban development authority in India. HMDA was formed by the merging of the following erstwhile entities: Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA), Hyderabad Airport Development Authority (HADA), Cyberabad Development Authority (CDA) and Buddha Poornima Project Authority (BPPA). HMDA was set up for the purposes of planning, co-ordination, supervising, promoting and securing the planned development of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region. Neredmet, formally known as Neredu Mettu, is a residential neighbourhood in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It falls under Malkajgiri mandal & Circle in Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Neredmet currently serves as the headquarters of Rachakonda Police commissionerate, one of the three police commissionerates of Hyderabad City. In Hyderabad, India, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is in charge of the civic administration and infrastructure of the city. It was formed in April 2007 by merging 100 wards of the erstwhile Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) with twelve municipalities of neighbouring two districts. GHMC covers an area of 650 km2 (250 sq mi), spread over the four districts—Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal–Malkajgiri and Sangareddy. The GHMC is divided into five zones and eighteen circles that contain 150 municipal wards. Each ward is headed by a corporator, elected by popular vote. The corporators elect The City Mayor who is the titular head of GHMC. The executive powers of the GHMC lie with the Municipal Commissioner appointed by the Government of Telangana. The State Election Commission (SEC) monitors the municipal elections that are held in the city once in every five years. The first election of the GHMC were held in December 2009. The Indian National Congress alliance with Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen formed the majority, with the agreement of sharing the mayor post equally between the two parties.
