Sattiraju Lakshminarayana, known professionally as Bapu, was an Indian film director, painter, illustrator, cartoonist, screenwriter, music artist, and designer known for his works in Telugu cinema, and Hindi cinema. In 2013, he was awarded the Padma Shri, for his contribution to Indian art and cinema. He has garnered two National Honors, two National Film Awards, seven state Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, a Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South.

In 2022, he received India's fourth-highest civilian award, Padma Shri by the Government of India for serving poor polio patients with distinction.

Coimbatore Narayana Rao Raghavendran is an Indian architect from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and the partner of C. R. Narayana Rao Architects and Engineers, a Chennai-based engineering concern. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and did higher studies at Cornell University in the United States. Working in Boston for brief period, Raghavendran returned to India to join his family business established by his father, C. R. Narayana Rao, in 1945. He was honored by the Government of India, in 2011, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.
A.S. Narayana is an Indian dental surgeon, a former Professor of Dental Surgery in Government Dental College, Hyderabad and a former State Coordinator of the Andhra Pradesh School Health Services known for the free dental camps he has conducted across the villages in Andhra Pradesh since 1974. He founded the Sai Oral Health Foundation, under the aegis of which he makes weekly trips to the rural areas of the state, conducts medical camps and delivers lectures at schools educating the rural masses about oral hygiene. His efforts are reported to have reached 1.5 million children in 20,000 schools.
Gullapalli Nageswara Rao is an Indian ophthalmologist, the chairman of the Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis (AOI) and the founder of the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. A former associate professor at the School of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Rochester, Rao is a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. He was honored by the Government of India, in 2002, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri. He was elected in 2017 to the Ophthalmology Hall of Fame instituted by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Vithalrao Eknath Rao Vikhe Patil was an Indian industrialist, the founder of the first sugar factory in the cooperative sector in India at Loni, in Maharashtra and the founder of a group of industries and institutions composed of Institute of Business Management and Rural Development, Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation's Medical College and Hospital and Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Limited, operating under Padmashree Dr. Vithalrao Foundation. The Government of India honoured him in 1961, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award for his services to the nation. His son, Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, was a recipient of Padma Bhushan, a member of parliament and a former minister.
Krishna Gopal Saxena (1912–2003) was an Indian homoeopathic physician. Born on 25 September 1912 in Delhi, he did his schooling at Karachi and Ambala and graduated in homoeopathic medicine from the Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College.
Nagarur Gopinath was an Indian surgeon and one of the pioneers of cardiothoracic surgery in India. He is credited with the first successful performance of open heart surgery in India which he performed in 1962. He served as the honorary surgeon to two Presidents of India and was a recipient of the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri in 1974 and Dr. B. C. Roy Award, the highest Indian medical award in 1978 from the Government of India.
Mohinder Nath Passey (1934–2002) was an Indian physician, rheumatologist and an honorary physician to the President of India. He secured his graduate and post graduate degrees in medicine from Gwalior and started his career as the Medical Registrar at Irwin Hospital. Moving on to Hindu Rao Hospital in 1964, as a medical specialist, he stayed there until 1985, retiring as the consultant and head of the Department of Medicine. After superannuation, he worked with Mahalaxmi Hospital until his death on 30 May 2002. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award of Padma Shri in 1991.
Jagdev Singh Guleria is an Indian general physician, cardiologist and a former Dean and Professor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is the senior consultant of General Medicine at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research and an Emeritus Professor of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. He received the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 2003.
Mohsin Wali is an Indian cardiologist and a former honorary physician to R. Venkataraman and Shankar Dayal Sharma and the serving physician to Pranab Mukherjee. His first assignment as a physician to the President of India was with R. Venkataraman, at the age of 33, making him the youngest physician to serve an Indian President. He is the only physician to have served three Presidents of India. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2007, for his contributions to Indian medicine.
Tony Fernandez is an Indian ophthalmologist, noted for his contributions in founding and fostering an eye care centre at Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly, thereby elevating the hospital from the level of a medical dispensary into an 800-bedded hospital. He founded the first eye bank in the private sector in Kerala and is a former president of the All India Ophthalmological Society. He has delivered many award orations including the Dr Sriniavasa Rao Memorial Oration Award (1995) of the Karnataka Ophthalmic Society and has initiated a social project, Kazhcha-Vision 2020, in association with South Indian film actor, Mammootty, for providing free cataract treatment to financially compromised people of Kerala. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2008, for his contributions to medicine. Kerala Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons have instituted an award, Padmasree Dr. Tony Fernandez Award, in his honour, awarded annually to the best video on ophthalmology.
Suhas Vitthal Mapuskar was an Indian physician and social activist who was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India posthumously in 2017. He had received the Nirmal Gram Award from late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in 2006. He dedicated his life to make Dehu village open defecation free beginning as early as in the 1960s. He is known for his work in the field of rural sanitation in Maharashtra.
The U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), formerly ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC) (Hindi: इसरो उपग्रह केंद्र) is an ISRO centre for the design, development, and construction of Indian satellites. It was established in 1972 as Indian Scientific Satellite Project (ISSP) in Peenya Industrial Estates of Bangalore. ISAC was renamed as U. R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) after the former ISRO Chairman and ISAC founding director Dr. Udupi Ramachandra Rao with effect from 2 April 2018. URSC is situated in Vimanapura Post.
