Matru Sewa Sangh is an Indian non-profit organisation founded in 1921, by Kamalatai Hospet and Venutai Nene in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It runs a network of sites dedicated to providing health services to the poor, including a maternity hospital, school for mentally retarded, home for the aged, child adoption services, working women's hostel and family counseling center. It also runs the Institute of Social Work, affiliated with Nagpur University, which provides adult education and development programmes. Matru Sewa Sangh was founded by Kamalatai Hospet (1896–1981) and Venutai Nene (1896–1973).
Mrinalini Vikram Sarabhai was an Indian classical dancer, choreographer and instructor. She was the founder and director of the Darpana Academy of Performing Arts, an institute for imparting training in dance, drama, music and puppetry, in the city of Ahmedabad. She received Padma Bhushan in 1992 and Padma Shri in 1965. She also received many other citations in recognition of her contribution to art.

SOS CVI provides a home to almost 15,000 children in 34 children's villages, located in various parts of the country. In addition to the children's villages, SOS provides indirect care to children through its 122 allied projects such as kindergartens, schools and social, medical and vocational training centres throughout India. SOS CVI provides direct and indirect care to almost 200,000 (200,000) children in the country.

Sharad Kumar Dixit was an Indian born American plastic surgeon and the founder of The India Project, a social initiative for free treatment of plastic surgery for the financially compromised people. A multiple nominee for Nobel Peace prize, he was honored by the Government of India, in 2001, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.
Pakkiam Vaikundam Arulanandam Mohandas is an Indian orthopedic surgeon from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the founder and the managing director of Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, known as MIOT Hospital. He is a former assistant professor of Orthopedics at Stanley Medical College and former professor at Madras Medical College and Kilpauk Medical College, three of the known medical institutions in Chennai. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 1992. He is married to Mallika who is the chairman of the MIOT Hospitals.
Pradeep Kumar Dave is an Indian orthopedic surgeon and the chairman of Medeor Hospital, New Delhi. He graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi (AIIMS) and joined the Institute as a member of faculty, superannuating in 2003 as a director. Later, he joined Medeor Hospital as the head of the Orthopedic Department and is the incumbent chairman of its advisory board.
Sharad Moreshwar Hardikar is an Indian orthopedic surgeon and the founder of Hardikar Hospital, Pune. He also heads the hospital's charitable trust, the Sushrut Medical Care and Research Society. Hardikar, an honorary fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association, was awarded the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2014, by the Government of India.

He specializes in joint replacement and spine surgeries and is a visiting consultant at RAK Hospital, Ras al-Khaimah. He is the youngest orthopedic surgeon to win the civilian honour of the Padma Shri.
Kunji Lal Dubey was an Indian independence activist, lawyer, educationist and politician from Madhya Pradesh. He was the first vice chancellor of Rani Durgavati University and the chancellor of Nagpur University. He served as the first speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1956, as the Finance Minister of the State in 1967 and was the president of the Inter University Board of India, Burma and Ceylon. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour, the Padma Bhushan, in 1964, for his contributions to the society. India Post issued a commemorative stamp on Dubey in 1996.
Puliyur Krishnaswamy Duraiswami (1912–1974) was an Indian orthopedic surgeon, medical writer and the Director General of Health Services under the Government of India. Besides being a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a founder Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, he published several articles on orthopedics and was a recipient of Robert Jones Medal and the Presidential Merit Award of the British Orthopaedic Association. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1966, for his contributions to the Medical Science.
Shyama Prasad Mandal is an Indian orthopedic surgeon and the co-chairperson of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. After securing his graduate and MS degrees from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, he continued his education to secure the degree of MCh in orthopedics from Liverpool University. He is a former president of the Indian Orthopaedic Association as well as the president of its Building Committee and the incumbent president of Board of Trustees of Amarjyoti Charitable Trust, a not-for-profit organization engaged in educational and rehabilitation service. He has been involved with the organization of medical conferences, and was the co-chairman of the organizing committee of Knee and Arthroscopy Workshop of 2008 and the patron of the Lower Limb Symposia of 2012, conducted jointly by the Indian Federation of Sports Medicine, Indian Arthroscopy Society and Indian Association of Sports Medicine. He was in the news when he examined Sachin Tendulkar in 1999 for his recurring back injury. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2011, for his contributions to medical science. He is also a recipient of a civilian honor from the Government of Bangladesh. Indian Orthopedic Association has instituted an award, S. P. Mandal Gold Medal, in his honor.

Baba Yogendra was an Indian artist, pracharak (campaigner) for Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and one of the founding members of Sanskar Bharti. He was conferred with Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, in 2018 in the field of arts.
