Chittoor Mohammed Habeebullah was an Indian gastroenterologist, known for his contributions to the medical discipline of gastroenterology in India. [1] [2] Born in 1937 [3] in the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, Habeebullah graduated in medicine (MBBS) from the Guntur Medical College in 1958, after which he secured his master's degree in general medicine (MD) from Andhra University and DM from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. [1] He started his career as an assistant professor at the Department of Gastroenterology, Osmania Medical College and served as the professor and the Head of the Department from 1975 to 1992 and thereafter as the principal till 1994. [1] He also served as the Director, Centre for Liver Research and Diagnostics, Deccan College of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad [3] and as the Director of Medical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. [1] He was a 1997 Fellow of The National Academy of Sciences, India [3] and had many scientific publications to his credit. [4] A recipient of the Khwarizmi International Award in 1997, [5] Habeebullah was honored by the Government of India, in 2001, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri. [6] He died on 10 July 2010, falling to a cardiac arrest. [1]

Vijay Prasad Dimri is an Indian geophysical scientist, known for his contributions in opening up a new research area in Earth sciences by establishing a parallelism between deconvolution and inversion, the two vital geophysical signal processing tools deployed in minerals and oil and gas exploration. In 2010, the Government of India awarded him with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the fields of science and technology.
Yogesh Kumar Chawla is an Indian medical doctor, hepatologist and has served as the director of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He graduated in medicine from the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur, secured a master's degree (MD) in gastroenterology from the same college before joining PGIMER in 1983 as a member of faculty of the department of hepatology and became the head of the department in 1999. Chawla, a recipient of the 1999 Dr. B. C. Roy Award and an elected fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences was honoured by the Government of India in 2015 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.

Dr. Cholenahalli Nanjappa Manjunath is an Indian cardiologist and the former director of the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research. He is reported to have developed a new protocol in balloon mitral valvuloplasty and is credited with the performance of the highest number of such procedures using Accura balloon catheter in India. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2007, for his contributions to Indian medicine. He Inaugurated the 410th edition Of Mysore Dasara on 17 October 2020 which is the Nadahabba as a mark of honour for Corona warriors in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gopi Chand Mannam is an Indian cardiothoracic surgeon and the chief cardiothoracic surgeon at Star Hospitals in Hyderabad, known for the performance of over 3,000 pediatric heart surgeries. After graduating from Guntur Medical College in 1981, he worked in Jamaica for two years at Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston and Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital in Westmoreland, before moving to the UK where he secured a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1986, followed by another fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 1987. He worked in the UK for five years, at the end of which he secured the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of London before returning to India in 1994 to join the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad as a senior consultant in cardiothoracic surgery.
Thoguluva Shesadri Chandrasekar is an Indian gastroenterologist and the founder chairman of Medindia Hospitals, a healthcare facility based in Chennai. He is credited with the performance of over 23,000 endoscopy procedures and is known for the Braille chart on personal hygiene he prepared in 2015 for the visually impaired people. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to medicine.
T. D. J. Nagabhushanam was an Agricultural Economist associated initially with the Andhra University in the 1950s followed by the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) since the 1960s in Bapatla and Hyderabad respectively. Nagabhushanam first taught at the Agricultural College, Bapatla, which was then an affiliated entity of the Andhra University until it became a constituent College of the APAU in 1964. After nearly three decades of teaching in Bapatla, Nagabhushanam became the Principal during the 1980s after which he was made Dean of Agricultural economics and was notable for his research articles that were written over a period of nearly five decades beginning with the 1950s.
