Two leaders of the party have served as presidents of Cyprus, Clerides from 1993 until 2003 and Nicos Anastasiades from 2013 to 2023.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2009 Greek legislative election</span>

Early parliamentary elections were held in Greece on 4 October 2009. Elections were not required until September 2011, but on 2 September 2009 Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis of New Democracy announced that he would request President Karolos Papoulias dissolve Parliament and call elections. Parliament was dissolved on 9 September.

The National Popular Front is a far-right, ultranationalist and fascist movement, founded in 2008 in the Republic of Cyprus. It describes its ideology as "popular and social nationalism". As of May 2011, it has been approved as a legal political party. ELAM is a Eurosceptic political party which also praises Greek former dictator Ioannis Metaxas.

Drachmi Greek Democratic Movement Five Stars was a Greek eurosceptic political party established on May 1, 2013 by Theodore Katsanevas (1947-2021), a one-time member of PASOK and son-in-law of Andreas Papandreou, with a primary target for Greece to abandon the euro and to return to the drachma.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">New Right (Greece)</span> Political party in Greece

The New Right is a national conservative and far-right political party in Greece. The party was formed in May 2016 by Failos Kranidiotis, a lawyer and former advisor to former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, after Kranidiotis was ousted from the New Democracy party.

The 2024 European Parliament elections in Cyprus will be held on 9 June 2024 as part of the 2024 European Parliament election.

National Party – Greeks, formerly Greeks for the Fatherland, is a Greek far-right political party founded on 4 June 2020, by Ilias Kasidiaris, a former MP and spokesperson of Golden Dawn, who is currently serving a 13-year prison term for his involvement in the criminal organisation run by Golden Dawn, allegations for which he maintains his innocence.

The Free People is a political party founded in February 2021 by journalist Giorgos Tragas.

Presidential elections were held in Cyprus on 5 February 2023. No candidate received a majority of the vote in the first round, so a runoff was held on 12 February. Incumbent president Nicos Anastasiades of the Democratic Rally (DISY), who won the presidential elections in 2013 and 2018, was ineligible to run due to the two-term limit mandated by the Constitution of Cyprus.

New Wave – The Other Cyprus was a political movement in the Republic of Cyprus. The movement's main stated goal was to mobilize society for reform and new prospects for Cyprus and the young people of the country.

The New Left is a pro-European centre-left to left-wing political party in the Hellenic Parliament. It was founded on 5 December 2023 by eleven independent MPs who left the Syriza party. The president of the parliamentary group is Alexis Haritsis. The New Left officially became a party on 3 March 2024 after its founding conference.
