Uttar Pradesh State Highway 37 or SH 37 (also called Nainital Road) is a State Highway in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India that connects Bareilly to Kichha, running through Baheri. [1]
Earlier, before the separation of Uttarakhand, the road lead up to Nainital, covering a distance of 137 km (85 Miles) via Haldwani, kathgodam and was also a part of Bareilly-Almora-Bageshwar route.
Uttar Pradesh State Highway 37 or Nainital Road, as it is called, starts from Kutubkhana in Bareilly and runs through 'Koharapeer Sabji-Mandi', Shrinathpuram Colony and 'Kodesia Railway Crossing' to reach Bareilly Mini Bypass (connecting it to Delhi - Lucknow National Highway 24 (India)) near Izzatnagar Railway Station.
From there the road heads northwards passing the Bareilly Airport (or Trishul Air Base) before reaching Baheri.
After reaching the border of U.P. at Kichchha, Uttar Pradesh State Highway 37 merges with National Highway 74 (India) (or Uttarakhand State Highway 49), running from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh to Haridwar in Uttarakhand. [3]
A State Highway projects has been approved on public-private partnership (PPP) model which comprises construction of bypass, foot over-bridge, service lanes and elevated corridor on the entire stretch. The developers selected for this project is PNC-Infratech Ltd, Agra.
The length of road to be upgraded is 54 km long and reaches Uttarakhand border from Bareilly. It would entail an investment of Rs 354 crore. It would also include construction of a flyover. [4]

Expressways are the highest class of roads in India. As of July 2023, India has a total length of 4,901 km (3,045 mi) of expressways. National Highway 30 is a primary national highway in India. NH 30 connects Sitarganj in Uttarakhand with Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. The total length of this highway is 1,984.3 km (1,233.0 mi). It starts at the junction of NH 9 at Sitarganj and ends at the junction of NH 65 at Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada. Development of Ibrahimpatnam-Jagadalpur Route is under process. Rajdeep Rohan joint venture is the contract agency for this project. National Highway 109, , is a highway in India which runs in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is one of the most important routes, connecting the entire Kumaon region to the state as well as the country. It is also the major route towards the hill stations such as Nainital, Kausani, Ranikhet, Mukteswar and Almora from Delhi. Previously known as NH 87, it was renumbered as NH 109 in 2010. The northern terminal is at NH 7 near Karnaprayag and the southern terminal is at National Highway 9 near Rudrapur. More than 10,000 vehicles travel through NH-109 in tourist season.
National Highway 309A, commonly referred to as NH 309A, is a single lane highway connecting the city of Rameshwar to Almora in the Indian State of Uttarakhand. Before the creation of Uttarakhand state in 2000, the Almora-Bageshwar stretch of this Highway was a part of the State Highway 37 of Uttar Pradesh, which ran from Bageshwar to Bareilly.
Char Dham National Highway, is an under construction two-lane 825 km long express National Highway with a minimum width of 10 metres in the Indian state of Uttarakhand under Char Dham Pariyojana. The under construction highway will complement the under-construction Char Dham Railway by connecting the four holy places in Uttarakhand states namely Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The project includes 900 km national highways which will connect whole of Uttarakhand state. It will connect Delhi–Dehradun Expressway on its southern end to India-China Border Roads on its northern ends.
The Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, also known as National Highway 72A (NH 72A), is an under-construction, 210 kilometres (130 mi) long, 12/6 lane access-controlled expressway, which will connect Delhi, the national capital of India, with Dehradun, the capital of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It will pass through the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and will pass through the cities of Baghpat, Baraut, Shamli and Saharanpur. It will have two spurs, or link roads, to ensure connectivity with cities lying nearby to its route: one 50.7-kilometre-long (31.5 mi), six-lane Saharanpur–Roorkee–Haridwar Expressway, and another 121-kilometre-long (75 mi), six-lane Ambala–Shamli Expressway. It is being built at a cost of around ₹ 13,000 crore, and will reduce both travel time and distance, from around 5-6 hours to only 2.5 hours, and from around 280 kilometres (170 mi) to 210 kilometres (130 mi). It will be completed by January 2024. It connect to Char Dham Highway in Uttarakhand.
National Highway 530B, commonly referred to as NH 530B is a national highway in India. It is a secondary route of National Highway 30. NH-530B runs completely in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The Highway was Notified on 06 Mar 2018, prior to which, it was a part of UP State Highway 33.
