Abakhel

Aba Khel is a subtribe of the Mandanr Yusufzai Pashtun tribe. Their settlements are located mainly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, and include the villages of Zaida, Kaddi, Hund, Shah Mansur, Khunda, Ambar, Panjpir, Beka, Aryan, Lahor, Kheshgi Nowshera Kalan (in the Nowshera District), and Ragastoon.

Lineage

Aba Khel are descendents of the Mandanr tribe. Mandanr had four sons, Mano, Hazar, Razar, and Mahmoud. Mano had two sons, Usman and Utman. Usman had two sons, Amanzai and Kamalzai. Utman had four sons, Akazai, Sadozai, Alizai and Kannazai. The descendants of Utman's son Sadozai are called Sadu Zais who were further divided into five families including Aba Khel, Umar Khel, Khadu Khel, Mir Ahmad Khel and Behzad Khel. Descendants of the Aba Khel family then settled in the districts Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. [1]

History

Yusafzai are named after Yusaf who was the son of Manday along with Umar. Umar died early and left behind his son Mandanr who married the daughter of his uncle Yusaf. The descendants of both Yusaf and Mandanr are together called Yousafzai. [2]

The Utmankhel is a Pashtun tribe present in Pakistan, with substantial numbers in Afghanistan. They lie between the Mohmands and the Ranizais of Swat, to the west and south-west of the junction of the Swat and Panjkora rivers. The Utmankhel mostly living in Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Lower Dir, Mardan and Orakzai. The Utmankhel are Pashtuns, part of the Karlani tribal confederacy, who fought against British and Mughals emperors in Pakhtunkhwa. The British regarded the Utmankhel tribesmen as “warlike” peoples and one of the Martial Race. The Utmankhel are a tall, stout and fair race, but their dress and general customs have been assimilated by the neighboring peoples of Bajaur. Utmankhel speak the same dialect of Pashtu called Yousafzai Pashto.

Beka is a town and Union Council of Swabi District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan. It is part of Lahor Tehsil.

The village contains a small series of mountains and a forest, residential area starting from meadows of mountainsand merge with river swat on right bank, a village market, vast land for crops, number of canals, and a part of the Swat river. Mountains of the village include Usmani Sar, Kafar Ghat and Najia Top.

Kaddi(کڈی) is a village in the Swabi District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The inhabitants belong to Aba Khel subtribe of Mandanr Yusufzai Pakhtuns who occupy Swabi and Mardan districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The major khel living in Kaddi include Balar Khel, Taju Khel, Zakarya Khel, Khan Khel and Panj Pao.

The Mandanr, also known as Mandar or Mandan are a Pashtun tribe who are a branch of the larger Yusufzai tribe of Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Balar Khel is the largest Khel in Usi Khel, Aba Khel subtribe of Mandanr Yusufzai inhabiting Yar Hussain village Swabi District & Garhi Kapoora, Mehmood Abad, Gumbat Mardan villages of Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.

Dara Utmankhel, also known as Shaikhan, is a valley in the Lower Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It consists of nine villages: Maniband ما نی بند, Jabaghi جبګۍ, Zara Doghy زړه ډوګۍ, Kot Koshah کوټ کو شاه, Mandal Korona کورونه ماندل, Kot کوټ, Ghwandy غونډئ, Fazal Abad and Shah Kuronu شاه کو رونه. It lies in Timergara tehsil, east of the main road from Timergara to Dir. The inhabitants of this area belong to the Mandal, a clan of Utmankhel tribe of Pashtuns. The Utmankhel is one of the Karlanri Pashtun or Afghan tribes who appeared in concert with other tribes like Yousafzai and Tarkalani. They first settled in the areas of Malakand, Bajaur and Mohmand. These people were mainly associated with trade as the land was not suitable for agriculture.

Kamal Khel is the sub-tribe of the Yousazai tribe of Pashtun peoples.

Malak Gaju Khan Yousafzai (Pashto: ګجو خان بابا), also spelled Gajju Khan or Gajo Khan Yousafzai, Popularly known as Khan Al Khawanin or Khan of Khans, was a Pashtun Ruler and military commander from Yousafzai chieftaincy. He is often seen as a founding chief of the tribe.
