Lea railway station

Lea railway station was a station in Lea, Lincolnshire, England, south of Gainsborough. It was opened in 1849 by the Great Northern Railway, but was closed to passengers in 1957 and closed entirely in 1963. [1] [2]

Although the station is now closed, the signal box here remains in use to supervise a level crossing and passing loop on the single track section of the route between Gainsborough Central and Kirton Lindsey.

Frodingham railway station was a railway station in Frodingham, Lincolnshire, England. It was open by the Trent, Ancholme, and Grimsby Railway on 1 October 1866 and, like all the others built by that company, had staggered platforms set around the level crossing on the Brigg Road. The first station here was closed in autumn 1886, when a new Frodingham station, built by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway, was opened, to the west of the Brigg Road level crossing. This station was suffixed "and Scunthorpe" at some date and was closed in 1928, when the LNER opened a new station which it named Scunthorpe nearer to the town centre.

The Clowne Branch is a disused railway line in north eastern Derbyshire, England. Which runs from Creswell to Staveley. Historically it ran to Chesterfield. It is now in use as a greenway.

The Doe Lea branch is a mothballed railway line in Derbyshire, England. It connected the Derbyshire towns of Chesterfield, Staveley and Bolsover to the Nottinghamshire town of Mansfield. It also had a branch line to Creswell via the Derbyshire town of Clowne.
