Liwan District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, China. The district is split into two parts by the Pearl River: Xiguan in the northeast and Fangcun in the southwest. The area has a prominent history, dating back to the Qin dynasty, and hosts a number of major historic sites. Liwan District spans an area of 62.4 square kilometres (24.1 sq mi), and as of the end of 2023, has a population of about 1,113,000.

Tony Esnault is a French chef and restaurateur at Knife Pleat, a Michelin-starred French restaurant in Costa Mesa, California.

Bruno Menard is a French chef. Early in his career, he became executive chef at the restaurant Tatou Tokyo, from which he was invited to compete on Iron Chef. He began to experiment with combining French and Japanese cuisine when he took over as chef at the Ritz-Carlton in Osaka. He then took over "The Dining Room" restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta, where he was awarded five stars by Mobil Travel Guide and five diamonds by AAA guide.
