Mufulira District is a district of Zambia, located in Copperbelt Province. The capital lies at Mufulira. As of the 2000 Zambian Census, the district had a population of 143,930 people. [1] It is divided into three constituencies, namely Mufulira, Kantanshi and Kankoyo.

Samuel Ndhlovu was a Zambian footballer and coach. Nicknamed "Zoom", he led the "Mighty" Mufulira Wanderers to unparalleled league and cup triumphs for almost two decades. He was named Zambian Sportsman of the Year in 1964 and also served the national team as captain and coach. He is widely regarded as Zambia's best local coach.

Mufulira Wanderers are Zambia's most successful football club, based in the Copperbelt town of Mufulira and currently playing in the Zambia National Division One after their 2019/2020 season relegation.

George Sikazwe was a former Zambian footballer and coach, who played for Mufulira Wanderers and Zambia as a midfielder, representing his country before and after independence. He also served as Wanderers' coach and together with Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu, he is credited with masterminding the team’s early success.

Kankoyo is a constituency of the National Assembly of Zambia. It covers Kankoyo and the rural area to the north-west of Mufulira in Mufulira District of Copperbelt Province.

Kantanshi (constituency)

Kantanshi is a constituency of the National Assembly of Zambia. It covers the centre of Mufulira and a rural area to the north-east of the town in Mufulira District of Copperbelt Province.

Luanshya (constituency)

Luanshya is a constituency of the National Assembly of Zambia. The modern constituency covers all but the western parts of Luanshya and the town of Fisenge in Luanshya District of Copperbelt Province.

Mufulira is a constituency of the National Assembly of Zambia. It covers the southern part of Mufulira and a rural area to the south and east of the town in Mufulira District of Copperbelt Province.

Kankoyo is a township in the Mufulira District of Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The settlement is located next to the Mufulira copper mine and is heavily polluted by sulphur dioxide emissions from the mine.

Joel Kangala Bwalya is a Zambian football coach and former player. He has been an assistant coach at Zanaco since January 2020.
