Navayugom is a Malayalam fortnightly published in Kerala, India. It is the official organ of the Kerala State Council of the Communist Party of India. [1] Navayugam started publishing on 7 January 1950, as Weekly. K. Damodaran was the first editor. [2]

Padma Shri Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, popularly known as Kaithapram, is a Malayalam lyricist, poet, music director, actor, singer, screenwriter, music therapist and performer of Carnatic music. He debuted with the movie Ennennum Kannettante in 1986. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist two times. He was awarded India's fourth-highest civilian honor Padma Shri in 2021 by the Government of India for his contribution to the field of art.

K. Damodaran was an Indian Marxist theoretician and writer and one of the leader of the Communist Party of India in Kerala, India.

Nettur P. Damodaran was an Indian politician who was a member of the 1st Lok Sabha of from the constituency of Tellicherry, which was part of the erstwhile Madras state. He represented the now defunct Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party. He was elected to the Lok Sabha with 42.61% of the electorate voting in his favour. Nettur P, as he was popularly known, had established his own image as a good Parliamentarian, journalist, philanthropist, reformer and writer. He graduated in Physics from Madras Christian College and it was here that his public life started when he was elected as the first elected Student Union Chairman of the College council in 1935.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">N. K. Damodaran</span>

N.K.Damodaran (1909–1996) was a writer and translator of Kerala, India. He was born on 3 August 1909 in Aranmula in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala. After taking B.A.B.L. he joined government service as Accounts Officer and later worked in SPCS. He has also worked as Sub editor in Sarvavijnana kosam and as Editor in Kalakaumudi weekly. He has published more than 20 books. He got Kalyani Krishna Menon Prize in 1967 and Sovietland Nehru award in 1974. His prime contribution was in the area of translation and he was the first to translate Fyodor Dostoyevsky's novels into Malayalam.

1921 is a 1988 Indian Malayalam-language war film written by T. Damodaran and directed by I. V. Sasi. The film has an ensemble cast including Mammootty, Madhu, Suresh Gopi, T. G. Ravi, Seema, Urvashi and Mukesh. Set during the 1921–22 Mappila Uprising in Madras Presidency, it tells the fictional story of Khader, a World War I veteran, who joins with the Mappila rebels during the Uprising.
