Gonadorelin chemical compound

Gonadorelin is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist which is used in fertility medicine and to treat amenorrhea and hypogonadism. It is also used in veterinary medicine. The medication is a form of the endogenous GnRH and is identical to it in chemical structure. It is given by injection into a blood vessel or fat or as a nasal spray.

Etynodiol diacetate chemical compound

Etynodiol diacetate, or ethynodiol diacetate, sold under the brand names Demulen and Femulen among others, is a progestin medication which is used in birth control pills. The medication is available only in combination with an estrogen. It is taken by mouth.

Dienestrol chemical compound

Dienestrol, also known as dienoestrol (BAN), is a synthetic nonsteroidal estrogen of the stilbestrol group which is or was used to treat menopausal symptoms in the United States and Europe. It has been studied for use by rectal administration in the treatment of prostate cancer in men as well. The medication was introduced in the U.S. in 1947 by Schering as Synestrol and in France in 1948 as Cycladiene. Dienestrol is a close analogue of diethylstilbestrol. It has approximately 223% and 404% of the affinity of estradiol at the ERα and ERβ, respectively.

Methandriol chemical compound

Methandriol, also known as methylandrostenediol, is an androgen and anabolic steroid (AAS) medication which was developed by Organon and is used in both oral and injectable formulations. It is an orally active 17α-alkylated AAS and a derivative of the endogenous androgen prohormone androstenediol.

Hexestrol chemical compound

Hexestrol, sold under the brand name Synestrol among others, is a nonsteroidal estrogen which was previously used for estrogen replacement therapy and in the treatment of certain hormone-dependent cancers as well as gynecological disorders but is mostly no longer marketed. It has also been used in the form of esters such as hexestrol diacetate and hexestrol dipropionate. Hexestrol and its esters are taken by mouth, held under the tongue, or via injection into muscle.

Cloxestradiol chemical compound

Cloxestradiol (INN), also known as 17-(2,2,2-trichloroethoxy)estradiol, is a synthetic, steroidal estrogen which was never marketed. It is an analogue of estradiol with a 2,2,2-trichloroethoxy substitution. The O,O-diacetate derivative, cloxestradiol acetate, has been marketed as an estrogen.

Cloxestradiol acetate chemical compound

Cloxestradiol acetate, also known as 17-(2,2,2-trichloroethoxy)estradiol O,O-diacetate, is a synthetic, steroidal estrogen derived from estradiol. It is the O,O-diacetate ester of cloxestradiol, which, in contrast to cloxestradiol acetate, was never marketed.

Ethynerone chemical compound

Ethynerone, also known as 17α-(2-chloroethynyl)estra-4,9-dien-17β-ol-3-one, is a steroidal progestin of the 19-nortestosterone group that was first reported in 1961 but was never marketed. Under the developmental code name MK-665, it was studied in combination with mestranol as an oral contraceptive. Development of the drug was discontinued due to concerns surrounding toxicity findings in dogs. It is a chloroethynylated derivative of norethisterone.

Hydroxyestrone diacetate

Hydroxyestrone diacetate, or 16α-hydroxyestrone diacetate, also known as 3,16α-dihydroxyestra-1,3,5(10)-trien-17-one 3,16α-diacetate, is a synthetic, steroidal estrogen which has been marketed in France, Spain, Brazil, and Argentina. It is a derivative of 16α-hydroxyestrone with an acetate esters attached at the C3 and C16α positions.

Metynodiol

Metynodiol (INN), or methynodiol, also known as 11β-methyletynodiol, is a steroidal progestin of the 19-nortestosterone group that was synthesized in the 1960s but was never marketed. A diacetate ester, metynodiol diacetate (SC-19198), also exists.

Metynodiol diacetate

Methynodiol diacetate (USAN), or metynodiol diacetate, also known as 11β-methyletynodiol diacetate, is a steroidal progestin of the 19-nortestosterone group which was patented in 1968 but was never marketed. It is the diacetate ester of metynodiol, which, similarly, was never marketed.
