He is regarded as one of the greatest rulers in Korean history, and is remembered as the inventor of Hangul, the native alphabet of the Korean language.
Taejo, personal name Yi Sŏng-gye, later Yi Tan, was the founder and first monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. After overthrowing the Goryeo dynasty, he ascended to the throne in 1392 and abdicated six years later during a strife between his sons. He was honored as Emperor Go following the establishment of the Korean Empire.

The spotted seal, also known as the larga seal or largha seal, is a member of the family Phocidae, and is considered a "true seal". It inhabits ice floes and waters of the north Pacific Ocean and adjacent seas. It is primarily found along the continental shelf of the Beaufort, Chukchi, Bering and Okhotsk Seas and south to the northern Yellow Sea and it migrates south as far as northern Huanghai and the western Sea of Japan. It is also found in Alaska from the southeastern Bristol Bay to Demarcation Point during the ice-free seasons of summer and autumn when spotted seals mate and have pups. Smaller numbers are found in the Beaufort Sea. It is sometimes mistaken for the harbor seal to which it is closely related and spotted seals and harbor seals often mingle together in areas where their habitats overlap.

SeeYa is a South Korean girl group originally made up of Kim Yeon-ji, Lee Bo-ram, and Nam Gyu-ri. When the group debuted in 2006, they were marketed as the female version of SG Wannabe. SeeYa were known for their 2007 hit song "Love's Greetings", and won Best Female Group at the Mnet Asian Music Awards that same year. In 2009, Nam Gyu-ri left the group to pursue a solo career and Lee Soo-mi replaced her for only one year. The group later remained as a duo with Kim Yeon-ji and Lee Bo-ram prior to disbandment in 2011.
The Capital Mechanized Infantry Division, also known as Fierce Tiger Division, is currently one of the six mechanized infantry divisions in the Republic of Korea Army. It is part of the VII Maneuver Corps, tasked with covering approaches to Seoul from North Korea and counterattack operations.
Second wine or second label is a term commonly associated with Bordeaux wine to refer to a second label wine made from cuvee not selected for use in the Grand vin or first label. In some cases a third wine or even fourth wine is also produced. Depending on the house winemaking style, individual plots of a vineyard may be selected, often those of the youngest vines, and fermented separately, with the best performing barrels being chosen for the house's top wine and the other barrels being bottled under a separate label and sold for a lower price than the Grand vin.
Banpo-dong is a dong, neighborhood of Seocho-gu, the greater Gangnam area in Seoul, South Korea. Banpo-dong is divided into five different dong which are Banpobon-dong, Banpo 1-dong, 2-dong, 3-dong and 4-dong.
Garorim Bay Tidal Power Station is a planned tidal power plant in Garorim Bay, on the west coast of South Korea. The project is developed by Korea Western Power Company Limited and was in the process of receiving government approval as of November 2008.
The Banpo Bridge (Korean: 반포대교) is a major bridge for vehicular traffic over the Han River in central Seoul, South Korea. It is a double-decked bridge, and is above the pedestrian Jamsu Bridge.
Yi Sun-sin Bridge is a suspension bridge in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, South Korea. The bridge is one part of The Approach Road to Yeosu Industrial Complex. It is the world's eighth longest suspension bridge in terms of its main span length of 1,545 m since it opened in 2012. The bridge connects Gwangyang with Myodo-dong, a small island that is also part of Yeosu.

The Geobukseon Bridge (Korean: 거북선대교), also called the Second Dolsan Bridge (제2돌산대교), is the main bridge on the Yeosu Road between Udu-ri, Dolsan and Jonghwa-dong, linking the Port of Yeosu with Dolsando across the Namhae sea. The bridge is floating cable-stayed bridge with 464m (35+82+230+82+35m) length and its construction started in June 2008. It opened in April 2012 and carries four lanes of motor vehicle traffic. The new link was intended to reduce traffic congestion on the First Dolsan Bridge which opened in 1985, and act as an important infra-structure link during the Yeosu Expo which had been held from May, 2012 for three months. The bridge was built by contractor Daelim Industrial Co. Ltd for client Iksan Regional Construction & Management Administration. Contract cost is US$60million, which includes a 460m long tunnel at one end, and a 280m long approach bridge.
Expo-daero(Korean: 엑스포대로; Hanja: 엑스포大路; RR: Ekseupo-daero) is the road connecting Dolsan Intersection in Dolsan-eup, Yeosu, South Jeolla and Seongsangyo in Haeryong-myeon, Suncheon, South Jeolla. The all section is part of National Route 17, and from Deogyang Intersection to end of road is part of Local Route 22. This road was opened to traffic on 12 April 2012 for Expo 2012.
Bukhansan Ui Station is a station on the Ui LRT located in Ui-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. It opened on the 2 September 2017. The tracks continue through the station to the Train Depot. The station is located next to the Ui LRT Control centre.
Kao-Ping Hsi Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Gaoping River connecting Dashu, Kaohsiung and Jiuru, Pingtung County in Taiwan. The bridge carries the Freeway 3 and was completed in 1999. The bridge is an important transport corridor between Kaohsiung and Pingtung.And it is a famous landmark in Pingtung.
Siheung City Hall station is a station on the Seohae Line in South Korea. It opened on June 16, 2018.
Ulsan Bridge is a suspension bridge in the south coast of South Korea. Opened in 2015, it is the second longest bridge span in South Korea.
